> 3 dayThis is the second G2X single output I have ordered. I love them even if they are a little bulkier than some other options. When using it I just want on/off. K.I.S.S. and this is perfect.

> 3 dayIf you need a good flashlight, you buy a SureFire. If battery life is a concern, then you buy a SureFire and extra batteries. This is a compact unit and very multi-purpose. I bought the yellow one because my other good flashlights kept getting borrowed or going missing. Easy to spot when its yellow.

> 3 dayWhile I appreciate the quality and customer service of Surefire, Im not a huge fan of this flashlight. I bought this to use for low light pistol shooting classes that I take. While I have weapon lights on my pistols, I wanted to have a backup handheld flashlight. The good thing about this model is that it is momentary only, so you wont accidentally hit the switch and leave it on, exposing your position while you fumble to try and turn off the light. But the bad thing about the switch on this model is that it takes a lot of pressure to depress the button and activate the light. When used as a weapon light in the Rogers / SureFire hold, it takes a fair amount of pressure to activate the switch against my palm. I find it awkward to maintain a hold for more than a few seconds. I prefer the lighter pressure and longer throw of the Fenix tactical switches, although I can understand the desire to prevent the SureFire from accidentally being activated. And the pressure required to activate the light has me a little concerned about involuntary sympathetic response when used in a Rogers hold--when you squeeze with your support hand to activate the light, you have to be very careful that you dont unintentionally move your trigger finger. I also dont like that rotating the tail cap can turn the light on. I wish they provided shims / washers to prevent the tail cap from rotating fully, thus preventing the light from ever activating fully. But the tail cap isnt loose, so it does take effort to rotate it, and I guess I could put something on the threads to increase the resistance. My last note is that this flashlight is blindingly bright for low light / night shooting situations. When flashed quickly to momentarily identify something, it produces a blinding flash if your eyes are adjusted to the darkness. If you leave it on, your eyes adjust quickly, but the light is crazy bright in a dark room. For night shooting classes, this flashlight is too bright if you are doing CQ shooting--if the beam hits a nearby white wall or paper target that you are using for cover, it is blinding. I find that 200 is my preferred max for low light shooting (TLR-1s, etc.). But other than those quibbles, its a very well made flashlight, and the design is perfect for Rogers hold.

> 3 dayI have several of these. Occasionally they disappear... hmmm. So I buy another one. Its not the brightest, it does not have multiple modes or fancy controls. BUT it is probably one of the best workhorse flashlights I have used. None of the ones that I own have *ever* failed, glitched out (like in a horror movie), or let me down in any way (this actually applies to every Surefire light I own). Ive dropped them, drowned them, run over them. This is the flashlight I keep on my nightstand. This is flashlight I would grab in an emergency.

> 3 dayI used to carry the black version of this light when I worked in corrections and it’s a fantastic light. But now that I don’t have to blend into the darkness this ugly yellow one is the same light but much cheaper because it looks like crap.

> 3 dayThis is a great small portable USA made flashlight. Very bright for the small portable size. I would say 300 luminous plus. I would highly recommend it since its compact very simple to operate. Not a ton of features but thats what you want when you need a flashlight to truly work every time.

05-04-2025I’m a huge fan of surefire lights. Going through my house I have one in nearly every room, at least one in my car, and usually have at least one on my person anytime I’m out of the house. I started using Surefire lights about 14 years ago when I became a cop and haven’t stopped since. I’ve got some of the old ones that were incandescent and would die suddenly after about an hour of continuous use. In practice, as a police officer working the night shift I had to change the batteries on those lights every week or 2. The LED version came out and dramatically increased the run time. Now at work I’m using the G2X Tactical and in nearly every other role I’m using the G2X Pro. The Tactical is good for Policework since I want a bright light every time I use it. For other work though, I prefer the Pro switch that has low light on the first press and full power on a quick second press. This prevents me from blinding myself when doing close range mundane tasks that I encounter in daily life. I have carried Surefire lights daily for over a decade and have yet to break anything on them except for a pocket clip on one. I have been thrown into a pool, fully dressed, by my drunken coworker and the lights even survived that with no issues. If you need a bright, tough, and reliable light then you cannot go wrong with Surefire. The G2 series are my go to lights from Surefire.

> 3 dayBought the yellow one bc I didnt feel like waiting 2 weeks for desert tan and not paying extra money for black. Light is nice and bright on full power mode, I do like the low power mode for when you need to see but not be seen. Light feels sturdy and strong. The yellow color is not SUPER yellow which is a good thing, like a dull flat yellow. Guess it will help you find it if it is on the ground at night.

Greater than one weekI bought this back in January and it is May with the flashlight very weak. I even bought extra batteries and a charger and still hold a very weak light. Do not buy this light, it is too late for me to send back. I feel I got ripped off.
