Very comfortable, I went from a small Osprey daypack to this one. Much more room.

I like the pack and its fairly comfortable. The hydration compartment is severely lacking however: its very narrow and the shoulder straps get in the way of loading it. My Aquamira bladder worked, but it was a huge challenge to get it in, and theres a flimsy sheet of plastic on the top of the pack that crumples under the weight of any water bladder other than Ospreys (which has a sheet of firm plastic in the bladder itself). Ospreys bladder is also narrower than any other bladder on the market, meaning you basically have to buy theirs to make it work correctly with this pack.

Great pack from a great company. My only complaint is that both the sm/med and large/x-large are labeled the Talon 22. But the sm/med pack isnt 22 liters as the name implies. You have to buy the larger pack to get the size that the naming implies.

I love these back packs! Ive now given 6 a of these away as graduation gifts to my nieces, nephews, and family friends. Im hoping that my wife picks up on my infatuation with these soon and hooks me up with one of my own. I have 2 other Osprey packs, as well as several other backpacks from some of the top name brand companies, but these are the best made packs for my money.

On the surface this pack looks like it has it all. However as a life Osprey owner and avid hiker this bag fails on so many levels. The hydration sleeve is useless for anything less than 1.0 L. Trying to use the sleeve with Ospreys own hydration bladder barely fits when empty let alone when it’s full without risking rupture. The main storage area is fairly small, bottle holder is useless and doesn’t properly hold anything. The hiking pole attachment is flimsy and it broke on first use.

Great basic hiking backpack, incredibly well made, carries enough for a day hike and more. Also works good as a travel bag. Straps/Backing is comfortable, and lifetime guarantee with Osprey.

Osprey is one of my favorite outdoor brands. I have owned several of their backpacks over the years and they have never failed me. I typically dont buy anything else. The Osprey Talon 22 is a medium sized daypack that is perfect for slightly longer day hikes given its capacity.

I was looking for a new backpack to use for our themepark visits since my previous Columbia pack had finally done itself in. I have heard great things about Osprey, so I decided I wanted to give them a try. This pack was the perfect size to hold my rain gear, water, snacks, and my wifes makup bag. Once adjusted properly, it is a very comfortable pack. For the firt hour of wearing it, it felt lopsided, so I had to mess around with it for a bit to get it nice and square on my back. Once I did though, I was very impressed with the feel and the way everything was distributed through the frame of the pack to my hips. The only reason for knocking a star, is I wish there was at least 1 more small/med pocket on the bag. It has one small pocket on top, the main compartment (with a mesh bag inside), and the stash pocket in front. It would be nice to separate the smaller makeup and snacks from the larger compartment, otherwise they make their way to the bottom of the bag and we have to dig around to get to it.
