I ordered warm white but it seems that the color is rather cold white. Brightness is quite good. But the major problem is that the back adhesive is not strong enough to hold the light strip’s own weight when mounting overhead. I put it underneath the roof of a plastic shed’s roof (cleaned the surface first with denatured alcohol). The next day the strip was on the floor. I had do use another double sided tape for mounting.

These are a very good deal, and I was able to connect them to 12V 1-amp converter (for 120V) that I had around the house. Unfortunately they are not the warm white 2700K advertised, and I would guess they are somewhere in the mid-3500K (cool white) range. They are quite bright for LEDs which will be useful for some applications, but in my case - for hidden cabinet lighting - they are a bit too bright given that they are cool white and not warm white. They installed easily, and it was simple to cut them to length. The adhesive backing works reasonably well, although it actually was peeling away from the light strip in some places even as I applied it. UPDATED: I figured out a quick-fix for overly bright cool-white light strips like these. Get some yellow-ochre oil paint. It takes about 5 minutes to dap a bit on each LED for the entire strip, and for under cabinet lighting (hidden) it works very well. I am attaching a before and after for just one bay of a cabinet where we wanted warm-white lighting, and the light from these cool-white LED strips was too harsh. In some cases we decided we needed a second coat, so dont worry about blocking the light - the paint can be wiped off or added to get the right tone.

For waterproofing, this strip has a dome of clear plastic covering its length. That dome makes the strip too thick in its profile to accept the splicing connectors included with it, which are made for a flatter strip. Otherwise, its probably a fine product. Also, it does not include any indication of how much wattage is necessary to power the entire strip, nor any wattage per unit of length. The only clue they give is a recommendation to purchase a 24W power adapter.

These worked well for adding light to my 6 x 12 enclose trailer. I cut each 16 foot roo into 3 equal pieces and used a total of 2 rolls to complete my project. The only thing I didnt care for was that the set never came with the connection with the wire already attached to run the third strip after cutting it to length. I realize you can purchase these for really cheap so I think these sets should at least come with one of these connections. Instead they come with a connection to add the strips together to make a continuous string, which is good to have for certain applications but the ones with wires are would be nice for applications such as mine. I had to make my own with some small wire I had laying around. If you do this you must use a thin wire such as 20 or 22 gauge and make sure that the wire ends dont touch each other in the connection. Please note that I cut the plug off the end and ran my own power wire and ground wire from my battery power source in the trailer. Other than that only time will tell if they last and work as they should.

What happens when you cross low-cost/quality manufacturing with electricity? A fire risk. Enter this water-resistant LED light strip. After un-boxing I plugged it into an old 12V router power supply I had sitting around. Oddly, only about half the strip lit up before fading out. I put a couple pics up to show everyone what I mean. Curious as to how much was lit vs un-lit, I unrolled it and went out to find a tape measure. Because my garage currently looks like it could be on the next episode of hoarders, it took me about five minutes to find. This number is important, because when I came back inside I smelt the unmistakable smell of melting plastic. I quickly measured the lit portion at about 8 ft(out of 16) and went to unplug. Thats when I found out where that smell was coming from, the supplied 12v female plug was almost too hot to touch! I assume the +/- leads were somehow in contact with one another inside. This would lead to a drop in voltage and explain why there wasnt enough power for the entire strip of LEDs. So, I quickly snipped that off an soldered on another one I had sitting around and voila, the entire light strip now worked and I was no longer worried about burning my house down. Two stars for looking nice once fixed, minus 3 stars for the might catch something on fire issues. ***My Rating Criteria*** Build Quality(47.5%) - 0.0 Stars Efficacy(47.5%) - 3.0 Stars Post-Sale Support(0.0%) - n/a Packaging/Presentation(5.0%) - 5.0 Stars WEIGHTED AVERAGE(100.0%) - 1.7 STARS

These are sold at a great price and seem to be of high quality. I havent seen any dead LEDs and they are quite bright, with an attractive color. I havent had these very long, so I cant comment on their longevity. I did buy the 3528 2 Pin LED Strip Connector Kit - 8mm LED Connector Kit for the installation, as I cut these into several strips. They are very clear about this not coming with a power adapter, so I also bought the Tasodin DC 12V 2A Power Supply Adapter to power them. No complaints, and I highly recommend them.

I wrapped this LED around a retail fixture and it tore at every corner. I have a lot of experience with LED tape and I have never used one I could tear with my hands.

Looks like it couldve been nice, I ended up pulling the terminal wires from the LED strip while installing. I do not think this was a manufacturer defect just my own negligence. Purchased to replace the eye killing OEM blue LED under my RV awning, and they fit almost perfectly, came up about 4 short, not a big deal I just centered them in the track. I tested after unpacking and all diodes lit up nice and bright, the adhesive is just was youd expect for not being 3M. I did have the awning track to install this strip in, so the adhesive in combination with the track, the lights held firmly in place. Well... At least in the driveway before I had to remove them. So in the trash with these ones and placing an order for another set. Couldve easily been a 5 star, but with the limited amount of time I had with them, I couldnt rate them fairly as a 5.

Great brightness and seal above LEDs for waterproofing. I am very happy with the outcomes. Installed them in bathtub niche. A bit of soldering and voila! There is latency from when you flip the switch to when they turn on. Maybe my power supply... No big deal. Very happy with them.

I bought an extra power supply so I could cut sections as is advertised you should be able to do. However there is such a think plastic coating on the string that it is impossible to make an electrical connection using standard junction clips. The section I clipped off is waisted, couldnt make it work at all. I tried scraping off the coating but could never get enough off the end to make a connection.
