> 3 dayThese lights are nice and bright and have plenty of places to cut to length. The water resistant coating works well and looks nice . . .but it makes access to the contacts you would need to get to for a cut section a little difficult. If you are skilled with an exacto knife and can solder looking thru a magnifying glass, you will have no problem with these, but after cut to length, they will not work with the snap on connectors without some trimming.

> 3 dayIf you were going to use their connector, and do no splicing, I am sure that this stuff is great. But if you plan on cutting it at all and doing any splicing, avoid and look elsewhere. The waterproof coating is absolutely impossible to get off.

Greater than one weekI have used for 2 projects. 1 was on brand new shellaced shelves. Adhesive stuck great then fell off 2 days later. I ended up using 3m foam tape to hold. 2nd project was a large mirror frame. Surface was clean latex paint. Same result. Stuck aggressively. Even pulled paint off if repositioned. 2 days later entire light strip was laying on the counter. I need to get another light strip for this application.

Greater than one weekI hadn’t intended to buy the waterproof version but glad I did because the waterproofing adds significantly to the overall strength/robustness of the strip. I wish they had provided a clue on how to remove the waterproofing when installing a connector and even YouTube is strangely vague on the topic. I found that a dremel tool with wire brush wheel works well for removing the waterproofing without damaging the strip by the way. Adhesive backing isn’t very strong but I think that is typical. No specs provided and I ended up using a double row to get the brightness I needed but they work fine. This was my first LED strip purchase and I’ll shop for better documented version next time but I’d buy these again though I expect I’ll always want a higher density version.

> 3 dayThese are sold at a great price and seem to be of high quality. I havent seen any dead LEDs and they are quite bright, with an attractive color. I havent had these very long, so I cant comment on their longevity. I did buy the 3528 2 Pin LED Strip Connector Kit - 8mm LED Connector Kit for the installation, as I cut these into several strips. They are very clear about this not coming with a power adapter, so I also bought the Tasodin DC 12V 2A Power Supply Adapter to power them. No complaints, and I highly recommend them.

> 3 dayThe lights are nicely built and quick to install, but honestly, I was a little disappointed in the brightness level of these lights as compared with some others that Ive seen. Still a great value for the price if you dont mind them not being daytime bright.

> 3 dayInstalled the lights on my camper awning, used the 3 times and winter came so parked the camper. Took it out for the first time this year and only the 1st foot work. Not really happy about this.

Greater than one weekAfter reading the reviews, I came to the conclusion that the ones who had trouble sticking them were just doing it all wrong. When the lights arrived I sat the little lady down and carefully mansplained the cleaning process, temporarily forgetting that she has kept our house spotless for 50+ years. None the less, I supervised the cleaning process despite icy silence from my true love. At great risk to life, limb and fantastic home-cooked meals I pronounced the area to be absolutely clean and ready for the lights. These lights DO NOT stick and are not worth the money or the strain on my marriage.

14-04-2025I got these lights over other similar ones because they were cheaper, and the reviews still looked decent. And theyre just that; decent. Very bright light, so I suggest purchasing a dimmer. Also, they are NOT resistant to humidity. Since its midsummer and I like to enjoy the milder days, Ive used command strips in periodic places along the lights to keep them up. But I cant really complain, since they were such a bargain. Theres room for improvement, but I was satisfied enough to buy another one for another room.
