> 3 dayWorks great. Easy to access and manage to your own specifications. I have a number of POE cameras and it handles them all with no problems. This is my second TP-LINK POE switch. I really like the quality and durability of TP-Link products.

Greater than one weekDont trust in any kind of protection or warranty from TP-Link. I had a single device stop working after being power via PoE by this switch. All 7 other devices plugged into it are fine, just the one stopped working after my power went out briefly. However, since my power went out due to a thunderstorm any and all warranties on any devices are invalidated. Doesnt matter that the other 7 are fine, or that the switch and all other 7 devices were plugged into uninterruptible power supplies via Battery; support wont help you and just closes the case.

> 3 dayUsing these to extend a current business network. Theyve held up well, dont seem to run hot, are easily configureable, and thus far compatible with my Ubiquiti hardware. I really needed the ability to extend a few desktops and access points. The PoE on some ports met my needs perfectly!

> 3 dayBe very careful when ordering this device: If you are looking for a PoE switch that allows for managing the power on each of the PoE ports this is NOT the one to get! It is a managed switch, but the PoE function is NOT controllable. This switch will NOT allow you to use the management interface to turn on or turn off the power on the 4 PoE ports, which is a BASIC function of any managed PoE switch. Sellers: (TP-Link USA?) Please from now on make sure that when you list your devices for sale you give a FULL listing of what they can and cannot do. I am having to send mine back and go purchase another switch just for this one basic function that you did not bother to list as being NOT available on this model. Other than that, this switch is OK. It allows for the things most 8-port managed switches do, and it runs well otherwise. So, three stars.

> 3 daythis thing stopped working after about 2/3 weeks of being hooked up to two POE cameras. I would like Amazon to replace it with a new one. or refund my money. The green power light keeps flashing and the unit wont stay powered up to power the cameras or anything else. It seemed to work fine in the first weeks. now I have a brick.

> 3 dayI thought this kept resetting itself to factory default upon a power cycle. I confirmed this by some of the negative reviews on here. Well, it turns out it was an easy fix. I was only Applying settings and not hitting the Save Config button thats blended into the settings menu on the lower left. Applying will only hold the configuration until you reboot UNLESS you hit the little save config button to make it permanent. Its a little different than the Netgear equipment I normally deal with and so this took me longer than it should have to figure out =) Now the switch has been running strong for over a year. I have 4 POE Hik/Dahua cameras attached and all work as they should.
