This is my second purchase of these Treatlife outlets because they just work without issue with Alexa. I am now in the process of replacing the big smart outlets made by the other company. that dominated the entire wall outlet. I like that the Treatlife outlet only takes up the space of one plug on the outlet so the other plug can be accessed. Installation is simple just plug it in to your existing outlet, plug in the device you want control then activate and name the device in the smart Life app. The Treatlife products dont drop the Wifi connection like other brand I have used and integrate perfectly with Alexa, a great combination. These are also working terrific in my shop where I can now turn on a vacuum or other tools by voice command to Alexa. These plugs handle 15 amps which is sufficient for most of my needs.

I originally purchased the Amazons Smart Plug through a promotion, and later purchased the Treatlife Smart Plug 4 Pack to replace all my old manual timers for our indoor and outdoor Christmas lights. So glad I did!! The Amazon Smart plug works great, easy to set up, but way too expensive. I had some issues setting up the Treatlife smart plugs; however, after I got them online, it was easy to configure my routines or schedules in the Treatlife app. I like the Treatlife app better than the Amazons Alexa app; BUT, in order to use Alexa youre stuck with Amazon. Beyond the initial setup, the Treatlife Smart Plugs are convenient, a great value, a little smaller than Amazon plugs, and they work great with Alexa. Again, the setup could be easier. Ive had some incidents where plugs (lights) turn on beyond routines. (Hey, why is the downstairs light on in the middle of the night!) Also, plugs wont fit inside outside bubble outlet box (I guess its not intended for exterior use). Overall, I highly recommend.

Quick and easy add to existing account. Switches work very well.

Very compatible for Apple I phones. I really like the shape of the sockets and how easy they are to set up. I have some round smartlife smart sockets but they render the plugin next to them useless. The Treatlife sockets are a more compact design and allow other plugins to be used next to them. They are fine wifi without Alexa and the software is a little different but still very easy to use also. Its best to set them up before using them to allow visual line of sight to the pairing light that blinks bc it gets covered up by an overly large plug on a device. The timer feature on the software works very well and i use them on Aquarium lights and aquarium heaters. I time them for daily timing to reduce algae growth in my tanks. Great price for a well designed smart socket and software.

As a disclaimer, Treatlife offered these products for evaluation. I really like the small form factor. The other outlet remains available for a many cord types (such as a computer cord or power strip). A number of the smart plugs that Ive tried always block the 2nd outlet. If you have a large wallwart that almost blocks the next plug, then it probably wont fit next to this device. I also really like the current rating on this device. Im used to seeing 10A ratings on many devices at this price point. With a 15A rating, this can safely switch high power devices such as space heaters. As a test, I plugged an electric kettle into it. After boiling some water, the switch was still working fine and I didnt feel any heat coming from the switch. The one weakness I found was the Treatlife App. Its not quite as intuitive as a number of the competitor apps. For example, Im used to being able to long press on a device to bring up advanced options such as setting a schedule. Instead I simply got an error message about BLE not being supported. Additionally, its very obviously using the cloud when turning on and off. I frequently was running into 3-5 second delays between changing the state in the app and when the device actually responded. Finally, for folks who like to use open source local control (such as Home Assistant and Tasmota), it doesnt look like these plugs are supported yet. Update: I just noticed that this plug seems to have much better range than my other smart plugs. I was seeing intermittent connections at around 60-70 from my router. Relatively stable connection (minor packet loss) at around 45 from the router. At the same time, I noticed that a scheduled turn on didnt work when disconnected from wifi.

Updated: After my initial review, customer support was awesome and reached out to send me a free replacement for the one that didnt work with the 4 pack I ordered. Awesome customer support and awesome product. Love it! Three out of four aint bad? Bought these to control lamps and other lights in our new house. Three of the four work consistently via Alexa (both voice and schedule) without any issues. The 4th has a mind of its own and turns off and on at random. Weve tried it in several locations controlling different lamps and lights and got tired of it randomly turning off the light when we needed it so we can no longer use it. Three of the four plugs get 5 stars but the one dud made me give this product a 2 star overall...

I have used their Smart Switches before and was looking forward to getting the Smart Plugs. Was able to set them up within minutes of receiving them. They were very easy to setup. Was using mechanical timers earlier and had to run around the house and reset them each time the power went out. Update after one week of use: Was trying to use the Schedule feature as a timer. Was easy to setup but the entries keep getting turned off randomly everyday. Cant use them at all in a reliable manner. Tried to get help but got no meaningful help. I am going to be returning these and have ordered a set from another manufacturer. Update after several months of use: You can get around the Schedule issue by using Cycle Timer. They perform the same function and do not get randomly reset as the Schedule function.

I like the TreatLife products in general. However, they all tend to be a bit difficult to setup for the lay person. I am an IT Professional, so I actually am able to figure out whats gone wrong when it wont connect or configure. I tend be a little more patient. But for the lay person with little experience in connecting smart devices, these plugs are quite difficult. It took me at least a dozen attempts before the app would recognize the device. The instructions dont match the app. And the name of the app in the instructions (TreatLife) doesnt match the actual app on your phone (Smart Life). These plugs are not listed under manual mode, so it was a bit of trial and error when it wouldnt connect autonomously. Overall, theyre good devices and they work well with Alexa. I also have the TreatLife color bulbs all over the house and they run their routines perfectly. I think TreatLife would do really well to revisit their enclosed instructions and make them match the actual app. Finally, they really should rework the SmartLife app so that the Option for Easy and AP Modes is more user friendly. Other smart devices have gotten around this minor configuration difference for varying Wifi configurations without completely frustrating the end user. It would be my suggestion to look at your competitors and mimick their approach. Your product is good, but the implementation is poor.

I have a light switch connected to an inconvenient outlet, so I plugged one in there, and a second to a lamp elsewhere, and programmed a rule that when the light switch one turns on the other turns on the lamp and it works perfectly ❤️

I have been using Treatlife Smart products for several years. I believe that between switches, plugs, dimmers and lights I now have seven of their products. The Smartplug four pack was a no brainer to purchase. Most of my house is run on Alexa usable products and these Smart plugs were found immediately by my Alexa app and are currently running four different devices. I used these Smart plugs for dusk to dawn security lighting. The one thing I am most happy with is that they did not lose their settings during a short power outage we had last week. Some of my other plugs required me to reinstall them. The installation process was very easy and all worked on the first try. I have not had occasion to use the Child Lock feature but will report back on it if I do. As with most products, you get what you pay for. The price of these Smart Plugs was extremely reasonable and if they are like the other Treatlife products that I have, they will last for a very long time. I am very pleased with this purchase and do recommend them to anyone looking to set up a smart home, especially using Alexa.
