I love everything about this unit. I can test my antenna, power, and rf out simple to setup nice display

I dont know much about tuning and tweaking CBs to increase their output but the interface looks great with lots of great color and dimming options. Everything feels sturdily built. Would have preferred better mounting hardware, though. The mounting bracket doesnt fit my truck very well but I understand that they cant ship it with a bracket guaranteed to fit every make and model of semi, pickup, boat, atv etc etc so still 5 stars.

Great radio, showed up on time. Used with dual antennas on my pickup. Transmits and receives great, farthest Ive transmitted so far is about 8 miles with a local base station. The sw/r meter seems kind of spotty at times, but havent tested with a meter to check for sure. Knobs feel nice and firm, channel knob has a nice click* feel to it (feels better than the cobra 29 classic in my opinion). Mounting screws were kind of junk, but I pressume they were meant for plastic not metal like on my pickup. Looks great, nice bright colors/ display. Overall I love it and would recommend it to anyone whos getting a cb.

I am running the uniden 880, and have been very impressed with it. Like you, I wanted a more modern looking unit so it didnt look out of place in the front of the cab as well as a built in calibration too because when it comes to optimizing radios for signal and transition strength.... I have no clue. This this feature was important to me. I also liked that the unit was 3 inches shorter than the cobra 29xl and had a multi color display. The unit itself had a quality build and the speaker is beyond loud, which is the reason I didnt go with the smaller midland or cobra 75 model. I mounted mine up high on a mount I fabricated. Build 9/10 cb mic mount screws were to small Looks 10/10 Ease of use 9.5/10 instructions were not good Sound clarity/ quality 10/10 My set up: Uniden 880 18 ft Amazon cable Rugged Ridge cb antenna mount screw mount antenna holder firestik brand HD spring firestik brand hd is a must stay away from the light and Medium duty springs. 4ft firestik. Side note* I did have to bend the rigged ridge antenna mount as the antenna would not clear the stock rubicon tire and I did not have to file off the paint to obtain an SWr of 1.0 Hope this helps. I recently purchased the Uniden bearcat 880. Straight out the box, it looks great. It is very sleek and has lots of options. The display is very user friendly. The only problem I had involved the mounting hardware for the transmitter. I installed the radio on its side, so the bracket that holds the hand held part was now on the top. The screws supplied were too small for the holes and would not tighten the bracket. There were another set of screws in the box but those were to big. I had to drill the holes out in order to use the bigger screws, it worked and problem resolved. I also found the setup instructions were lacking info, so I went to YouTube and watched a independent review and setup. This worked great as I watched the video on YouTube and followed along on my iPhone for the setup. All in all I like the radio and think it was a great buy for my jeep! I look forward to using it out on the trails when Im 4 wheeling with my friends.

So this CB does so much! It has a lot for the value. Works great, was easy to install, like that you could go online and review all the things that you are capable of doing.

Great for the money

Ive been a galaxy fan all my life but I really enjoy this radio.crystal clear sound nice colors on LCD,,and receive farther distances than any cobra 29 Ive ever had awesome radio for money

Overall I like the CB. The only thing I do not like is during the daylight, I cannot see the display, but night time is great. If I had it to do over again, I would probably go with a more traditional CB. I do like all of the features though!
