Vera Bradley Womens Cotton Weekender Travel Bag

My daughter gave me this bag for Christmas and at first I thought that it was not roomy. I was wrong. I was able to fit all 3 brushes and numerous make-up containers in this and my hairbrush and comb and zip it all up. I travel once a week and this is so convenient to pack.

I bought this for my 80 year old mother to use for overnight visits and it’s the perfect size for her.

I love having this bag as my “personal” item for flights! All the pockets/compartments will make it easy to locate items while traveling. The double zippers are a plus, making it easier to open. And the pocket for a water bottle is a plus. It’s well made, lightweight and very roomy. Only thing missing is a zippered pocket on the inside - but otherwise it’s perfect!

This weekender bag is perfect for use as a carry on. Nice and sturdy and soft sided so that I can pack it kind of full. Its very roomy and I found that I had plenty of room for my things. I love that it has pockets on the front for things I need to get to and the little trolley sleeve that slips nicely over the handle of any roller bag. Love the bright, beautiful colors on this Impressionista bag.

I got this bag to use as my hospital bag when my son was born and it worked beautifully. I packed 3 days and nights worth of clothes and toiletries/personal care items for myself, plus a change of clothes for my husband and a couple of outfits for the baby with room to spare. The print on the bag is so pretty and happy - eye catching without being gaudy. The bag also seems to be thoughtfully designed with multiple pockets lining the interior and a large zipper pocket on the outside that is perfect for stashing away anything that you may need to get to in a hurry (wallet, passport, keys, etc). I also love the shoulder pad on the carry strap - at 9+ months pregnant I was able to adjust the strap to a comfortable length and then carry it easily, even with several days worth of clothing in it. I will definitely use it for traveling in the future but because its so cute and functional I am also using it as a gym bag. It easily fits inside of the lockers at both my gym and my spa. I would recommend this bag to anyone looking for a pretty, stylish bag to pack up for quick trips or to be used as a carryon or gym bag.

Love this bag. I used it when flying round trip to Oahu from Seattle. It easily held electronic devices, wallet, medications, sweater and snacks. Being soft sided, it easily slipped PERFECTLY under the front passenger seat of the plane. Plus, it’s made to slide onto the handle of a wheeled carryon bag making it easy to transport without being a burden. Pleasing fabric colors too. I’m 62 and this worked perfectly for me.

Think material and good quality. I got the bright pink and the color was perfect! I needed a mid sized duffle bag to carry on while traveling. It fit perfectly on top of my suitcase with the luggage sleeve! Lots of pockets inside for organizing but I do wish there was a laptop pocket inside.

I purchased this in the recycled cotton Galaxy Grey. I have owned many Vera bags over the years, but have not made a new purchase in the last 4 or 5. The material is soft cotton, and lightweight. I like that they skipped the traditional quilting for this particular style. Honestly it does not look like a Vera Bradley bag. Depending on your personal taste that may be a good or bad thing. Even the zipper pulls are non descriptive. For me, I am pleased with the aesthetic. My plan is to use this as a gym bag, and for short overnights. I’m a size Large/ 12, and I can pack 2 jeans, tops, and a sweatshirt, 2 PJ (all rolled) as well as a small toiletries/ makeup bag. Just enough for 2 nights. For the gym, I can pack sneakers, and clothing with ease, fits a water bottle as well. The interior pockets are great for organizing those small items. The front pocket was large enough for my iPad and charging cables. I took off one star for the structure, Vera Bradley never puts any structure into the sides of its bags. It would make packing easier if it stood up on its own. Overall I’m pleased with this purchase and am looking forward to using it.

I didnt want to review until I actually used the bag. I used this as my carry-on for American Airlines, best news, it fit under the seat! I packed it for a weekend get away which included 2 pairs of clothes, 1 pair of high heels, toiletries, a full size hair dryer and straighter, along with some extra shirts. It held all my stuff with room to spare, however, I believe if you packed it to full capacity it probably wouldnt fit underseat. Loved the color and the bag seemed to hold up well. The only thing is that it can get quite heavy, and if you have to run through the airport then it isnt exactly ideal. Overall, I loved it and will probably continue to use it as my carry-on until it just falls apart.

I’m not a Vera fan and have never owned any of her merchandise. I bought this as I knew that despite her ‘bold’ designs, Vera Bradley does provide a quality item and I needed a tote for a quick trip. This tote is great. It’s well made, lots of pockets inside and out, heavy zippers, thick yet light, holds a LOT - more than my previous similar tote of a different name brand. The mesh pockets inside are made so they hold what you put in them, they don’t hang agape like I have seen others do. I’m very happy with my purchase!
