Vera Bradley Womens Cotton Weekender Travel Bag

Was looking for an attractive carry-on bag with a contrasting inner lining. This was as close as I could find that met that criteria. I chose Vera Bradley as I have had a number of V.B. bags over the last 20 years and have always been happy with each one, no matter the style or fabric choice. This bag will be useful for travel with its roomy interior and detachable shoulder strap, along with shorter handles. But I am so disappointed with the outer fabric as the design has a faded appearance. This pattern does not have the bright colors all of my other V.B. bags have had. This pattern is pretty enough but it is dull and drab even though the pattern is complicated and busy. I compared this fabric to another V.B. bag that is several years old and this newer bag appears to have been washed repeatedly and the colors dim and worn. It seems the company has cut costs in materials now and unless the new fabrics are better quality and have the former brightness I will not feel the higher cost of these bags worth paying anymore.

It was not big enough for me

This bag wasnt as big as I thought it would be. Its a nice bag I suppose, but nothing terribly special. It gave me diaper bag vibes, when I was going more for a weekend bag feel.

I am yet to travel with this bag but I know it will be great. I like its all fabric (easy to wash), light and love the pockets. I can use outside pockets for things I need to get quickly and it has a water bottle one on the side. So convenient when traveling! I also like the size. Looks roomy but not too bulky. I really like the bag. Very happy with this purchase!

I just love this bag. I am using it right now for a weekend away vacation. Its large enough for everything I need. Lots of pockets & its beautiful.

I love Vera Bradley products. This bag has a great pattern (bright and beautifully). It holds a great deal of clothing (or other items). It is a great overnight/short trip bag!

This bag arrived today and its even better than expected. Its the perfect size to hold a great deal, but fit comfortably under the seat on a plane. Id been struggling with my old carry on that didnt have a luggage sleeve and flopped back and forth when I pulled by suit case. This is squared off with a soft structure to it which seems like it would make it easier to find something in it than if it was a deep tote. It also has a nice size front outside pocket that will hold my I-pad and phone.There are also inside organizational pockets and a removable padded shoulder strap. Its lightweight like all Vera Bradleys. I ordered this color because the blue matches my dusty blue luggage. I couldnt be happier. If youre not fussy about colors/patterns be sure to click on all the patterns because the price differs.
