I have been struggling with 3 different types of baby gates to prevent a new puppy from accessing certain areas of my downstairs. Two of the gates that I have installed were barely able to bridge the gaps that they were set in. This resulted in the gates constantly being knocked over when my son tried to open them and the puppy learned that if she ran at them with enough force she could knock them over and have free reign. I bought a set of 4 of the 4 inch wall nannies and my problems were solved. An unexpected bonus was that I was able to take care of two of the gates using only two wall nannies for each gate. These are a great solution to a problem I had struggled with for some time.

We have two baby gates for the dog, and the cats struggle to squeeze through the side or to jump over. I was searching for replacements with a little cat door, but we really like our existing gates. We bought a set of these and a set of the flat ones, and we were able to create the perfect side space on each gate for the cats. They help the stability was well. I couldnt be happier!

We tried multiple baby gates that indicated they could extend to fit a stairwell opening from 36 inches to 43 inches. The problem was there was a dead zone at the 39.5-inch mark which was how wide our stairwell was going from the main living area to the basement. Adding one extension piece to the baby gate did not solve the problem because it was too narrow but then adding the second extension piece made the gate too wide....argh the frustration!! My brother-in-law saved me from buying a new baby gate by suggesting these simple extenders (that as a bonus also protect your walls and banisters). We added all four of these and then miraculously the baby gate fits perfectly!

Found out that our house is an odd width at the stairs and just couldn’t make the baby gate work. These saved us from having to buy a brand new gate. Very effective.

The Nanny extenders work well with our baby gate - so far no marks on the walls and they are holding firmly. Wish there were different lengths to chose from as one of our gates has the base on one side on the base board and on the other side under a kitchen cabinet. We had to add blocks of wood to bring the surface out to meet the Nanny Extender. If you are using a gate for a puppy - the extenders do extend the actual size of opening your gate will fit.....but the result is a larger than normal opening between the wall and the actual gate.....so our puppy quickly discovered access to where she wasnt supposed to go....but in a few weeks shell be too big to fit through, so just a learning lesson for us.

Been using two small boards to hold my gate up for six months. Just couldnt find an extention anywhere and when I went to order one online but could only find them for like $30. My gate only had a two or three inch gap to be effective so I gave these a shot and I only wish I had done it sooner. They work like a charm and I wont have to put holes in my walls anymore because they grip the walls. The only thing is like most things if your child is really ripping on it or slamming it they can come a little loose and the whole gate came down once the first week but other then that its been great.

I love this product. It adds more cush to protect my walls and this was super easy to use. First I bought the thinner set for a puppy gate. I have a 4 lb escape artist and I needed new big heavy gate. It was so easy I bought a second 2 inch set to put up another puppy gate. Funny thing... I had not put up the second puppy gate yet because It was a couple inches too short. This SOLVED the shortage problem. The gate is steady and secure.

I had my adjusters almost fully extended this fixed the wobble and made it more sturdy
