I have an open basement stairway and my gate JUST fit but there was not enough spindle left inside the gate to keep it stable. Added these today and couldn’t be more pleased.

I couldn’t find any extender panels for the baby gate I had. Saw this product and it did exactly what I needed it to, which was to make it sturdier against the wall so it wasn’t so easy to knock over. Pretty easy to install. Good little product

Been using two small boards to hold my gate up for six months. Just couldnt find an extention anywhere and when I went to order one online but could only find them for like $30. My gate only had a two or three inch gap to be effective so I gave these a shot and I only wish I had done it sooner. They work like a charm and I wont have to put holes in my walls anymore because they grip the walls. The only thing is like most things if your child is really ripping on it or slamming it they can come a little loose and the whole gate came down once the first week but other then that its been great.

This product works exactly as described! Instead of buying another extension piece for the missing two inches I found this product that not only solidified the sturdiness of the gate but also keeps our walls nice and safe. An added bonus is that the extenders actually look pretty nice, as if theyre part of the original gate set. One of my best Amazon orders to date, such a useful product! Highly recommended!

These were very easy to install, however they do add a few inches which I should have checked (my fault) but I think theyre great and protecting my wall! Hopefully when removed they dont leave marks.. but I wont know until theyre removed in years to come :)

My doggo gates were a bit loose and my Husky managed figure out how to rattle the gate until it unlatched.. with these extensions in place it is a much more secure fit and senorita fuzzybutt is safely away from my plants and my shoes. Installing was super easy and so far I have zero regrets.

Just got these in yesterday and installed them immediately! They work great and are sturdy. Saved me a decent amount of money, since I didn’t have to buy an entirely new gate.

We tried multiple baby gates that indicated they could extend to fit a stairwell opening from 36 inches to 43 inches. The problem was there was a dead zone at the 39.5-inch mark which was how wide our stairwell was going from the main living area to the basement. Adding one extension piece to the baby gate did not solve the problem because it was too narrow but then adding the second extension piece made the gate too wide....argh the frustration!! My brother-in-law saved me from buying a new baby gate by suggesting these simple extenders (that as a bonus also protect your walls and banisters). We added all four of these and then miraculously the baby gate fits perfectly!

These were exactly what I needed. I installed a baby gate in a hallway to keep our new puppy contained. The gate didnt come with an extender piece and the threaded spindle rods holding the gate tight against the wall were stretched to their limit. I used 4 of these (one on each spindle) and they are working wonders. The gate is now a tight fit and the spindles are not screwed out so far. The extenders grip the wall and baseboard very well, they prevent damage and keeping the gate firmly in place.
