My hallway was just an inch too small to add the other gate piece but 4 inches too big to install the gate without. These extenders were exactly what I needed to be able to put up our gate. They give an extra 2 inches on either side. So 4 inches all together. Works great. I’ve had to move it and they never damaged my walls when moving them.

I love this product. It adds more cush to protect my walls and this was super easy to use. First I bought the thinner set for a puppy gate. I have a 4 lb escape artist and I needed new big heavy gate. It was so easy I bought a second 2 inch set to put up another puppy gate. Funny thing... I had not put up the second puppy gate yet because It was a couple inches too short. This SOLVED the shortage problem. The gate is steady and secure.

I purchased this product because i purchased a gate for my dogs. The extenders were very practical and very easy to install. I did not need to drill any screws on my walls. And the diameter of the circle is perfect for small or large screw heads. Great value also.

I bought a stair gate but was concerned the hardware would damage the wall. I also needed a but more length to mount the gate and these wall extenders protect the wall and made our gate fit perfectly. An added bonus for us was that the greater surface area on these extenders actually produced a more stable fit than the small fittings that came with th gate.

This gate adapter was perfect to use with our very wide doorway. The traditional adapters were good on one of my other gates. Highly recommend!

The Nanny Extenders are very sturdy and easy to use. I ordered the 4. We needed to put up a small gate to keep our new puppy out of the hallway and bedrooms. I could not find a gate the correct size, so I ordered the extensions. As you can see in the photo, I only needed to use 2 of the 4. Without having the extensions available, my only option was to order a gate the correct size that had to be screwed into the walls. These do the job, as my puppy does jump up on the gate,and it has held fast. They do NOT leave any marks or damage to the walls. I would recommend either size even just as protection for your walls.

I liked that it allowed for greater stability and pressure for my gate...I did have an issue with the rubber coming out of the mold on back when trying to move it into position....it should be deeper in the grooves to stay in better. I could not use the other 2 on the bottom because of the molding, perhaps your 4 pack should be 2 4-inch and 2 2.5 inch so all 4 can be used. 2 are staying in the bag..... Aside from that, works as described. UPDATE 6/2/20 I lowered a star because the seller wouldnt work with me to send me two 2.5 pieces, because the 4 inch pieces wont work on all four pressure points. Everybodys wall are different, I have molding on the bottom and my gates screw is extended as far as it can go without coming out. I contacted seller and can see no reason NOT to make the customer happy, Id send back the two 4 inches for two 2.5 inches to complete my setup, but they said they only sell them in 4 packs....these were 16 dollars and I cant use 2 of them. $13 more for four 2.5s? 29 dollars for 8 Wall Nannys? Thats half the cost of the gate I purchased! Too bad their customer service wont help me!

I was convinced these wouldnt be able to go over our trim but I was happy to see I was wrong! I was about to mount the gate flush with the floor to lessen the likelihood of trips. I actually ended up ordering a second set after receiving the first so I could remove the extension bar one of ours. Definitely a great buy!

You need a lot more than two hands to make this fit; and it is even harder if you have baseboards or mouldings or anything like that that makes the doorway a different width at the bottom than at the top. That said, it is pretty sturdy and stable once you finally get it installed, and it is a great idea for solving the problem of protecting your walls... if you dont tear them up trying to get the darned thing installed.

PERFECT product, just what we were looking for! Our gate was already an extended version but the walkway between the front and the back of the house was just a little bigger. We got by with an old plank of wood which unfortunately would stick and take the paint off our walls (as seen in the picture) to make it try and fit the space. The dogs would run into it or try to climb over the fence and it would slip and fall down and damage our walls. Cue these amazing little things! We were able to not only get rid of the mismatched plank of wood, but the gate is seriously sturdier than ever before and we don’t have to extend the screws out nearly as far. Didn’t even have to screw these extenders into the wall, they are wide enough that they distribute the pressure better than the wall damaging feet, and the rubber backs really are sticking well. Even took down the gate and no paint went with it, so I’m excited to actually touch up the wall now since it’ll stay. Great idea
