Ive been using this hard drive as an external storage for a PS5 for about a month now. I have experienced no issues or concerns with the device, and I have found it to be fast and reliable, with an adequate storage capacity. While this device is pricier than other devices of similar storage capacity, I chose this one based on favorable consumer and third-party reviews. I have been very happy with this purchase. I am particularly impressed with the small footprint of the device and what seems like a solid, rugged metal external case that has an interesting, industrial aesthetic. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase, with the only downside being the price tag that is steeper than other options, but it feels worth the extra financial investment for the apparent quality.

This drive is fast for an external drive. Compared to standard SSD’s it is on average twice as fast and not even worth comparing to a physical drive. However, as compared to NVMe drives, this is not the fastest drive I have used nor is it the fastest external drive. I have a drive that is over twice as fast as this.

Super compact compared to my old external hard drive that died a few months ago. Im using it with my Xbox one X. really easy to install plugged it in and turned the Xbox on and it popped up a prompt to use it for media or format for games. My last traditional mechanical external hard drive lasted 5 years (my son had the Xbox going almost 24/7) . Im hoping to get a long time out of this on also. My son will be rough on it so time will tell.

Works great so far. Plugged it in, formatted it, was able to transfer PS4 and PS5 game files to it.

Its a bit expensive (5X what a cheap generic costs,) but it works on the Play Station 5 platform - which is what I needed...

What we needed was a reliable hard drive for our Xbox. This set up easily and games are running well off of it. My family plays mostly rpg type games and nobody has complained about the speed of loading or playing.

Not a better ssd

Absolutely fast when you using USB 3.2 Gen2x2. Recommend to gamers or photographers.
