02-04-2025The best thing about a product like this is its ease of use. You plug it in, its formatted and ready to go with no setup required by the user. For more advanced users its incredibly easy to use requiring virtually no setup.

Greater than one weekPurchase this for my PlayStation 5, and it holds all my PS4 titles and apps for my console, freeing up precious space for my PS5 game titles. Between this connected to my external USBC port on my PS5, and the internal 2TB SSD I installed on the inside M2 slot, it will be a long time before I have to delete anything off of my PS5.

> 3 dayBought for my PS5 as I needed more room for my games. Came with a USB cord and plugged into my console and works great.

> 3 dayOriginal review: Works well! Sturdy and small. Usb-C connection which is fantastic! Writing and loading games on it is instant. Huge gamer but don’t pay attention to all the technical. I play my game and can compete with no flaws.

> 3 dayFirst off I have to mention, as with any and every hard drive, you will never get the full terabyte of space regardless of if it’s formatted to be totally empty or there’s an operating system on it or not. That’s how hard drives work, so those people leaving bad reviews because they didn’t get the “full” 1TB just don’t understand drives and file systems and calculated space vs actual. We’re not going to go on and on about that, if you’re going to fork out the money for it then you should already know that. This is the best external drive you can get for PS5 (if you get the SSD model). This SSD is nearly as fast as the internal PS5 drive. It can move game files very quickly and I’m impressed. I play almost all my PS4 games off of it with no issues (Fallout 76, GTA5, Warzone, Division 2). Load times are equally as fast. This includes both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A. If you read the articles about the PS5 you should also already know that you have to use the USB ports in the back of the console (No USB hubs/Splitters/docking station) or the USB-C port in the front in order to use the high speed data transfer. It’s worth the money, especially with the coming release of the internal SSD upgrade update for PS5 because the price of those just went sky high and on back order. So if you need something to hold you over until then, this is your sure winner. Western Digital makes high quality stuff, will also work perfectly for personal PC storage if your computer has the latest USB gen ports AND your computers internal hard drive is rated for these speeds.

> 3 dayThis SSD works great on my PS5. Run PS4 games on the drive and they run fine. So feel confident to use on a PS5 and probably fine for other consoles or even a PC.

> 3 daySo far I absolutely love it. It does exactly what I wanted. Synced right up with the PS5, transferred games quickly. Seemlessly plays PS4 games with no downside.

> 3 dayThis thing is awesome for being an external drive!! The only grip I have are the people complaining its not reaching its full potential. Learn how to read and do research. Also, learn that is it dependant on your system and not just what the company says. When it says up to, it doens mean it will.
