I have been using these WiOn wifi plugs for over a year now and they are awesome,,,easy to install and so user friendly.. If yo want to control lights and any other electrical devices from anywhere, this is what you need!

So this item I would not recommend because it hasn’t worked I have tried different ways of using it and it’s not working it’s not even connecting to the app so I can turn it on it to work I don’t know what the problem is I will be returning this item I do not recommend purchasing because it’s not connecting to either the Wi-Fi or the app so this is a complete

I bought this outlet to plug in a utility tractor snowblower block heater at a vacation home so I could turn it on before I arrived and heat the tractor up so I wouldnt have to wait for it for two hours to heat up before starting. Initially the item worked fine for about a month, but now each time I go to turn it on it is not being found on the app and the error to check the Wi-Fi signal shows. The signal is strong and reaches well beyond the device so it is not out of range. When I physically check the device, it is flashing and I manually need to turn it on and then it will sync back up and show up for about a day and then it reverts back to not showing up despite nothing changing. Not sure if it is the cold or if that is irrelevant as it seems many other reviews have the problem. I would not purchase this item again.

Worth the money. Have had these in use for several years. We use them to control heaters in small equipment sheds without having to leave the house. These are indoor units. We also have two outdoor units to control heaters in our work trailers. We had one go out so we had to purchase a new one. Bought this set of two so we have a back-up. Will buy again and again.

I live in a 3 story townhouse and the kitchen is on the second floor. I installed this so that I can start the coffee as soon as I get out of bed. I prefer this method versus a timer because I have trouble sleeping and do not get up at the same time every day. It has worked well. It was easy to install and by the time I make it down to the kitchen, my coffee is almost ready for me. I need my caffeine as soon as possible so works great. It is a bit bigger than I expected but for the price, it was quite a deal.

I had high hopes for this smart outlet. My home has been completely renovated as a smart home, so Ive tried just about all of these types of outlets on the market. This is one of the bulkiest hunks of junk Ive tried. This one at first took 3 days to pair with my Wifi router. I thoroughly consulted the poorly worded troubleshooting section of the manual. Keep in mind, Im a computer scientist. Most of the manual did not make sense (broken English, poor sentence structures). After I finally got this thing to work, a slew of other problems arose. The app would constantly freeze or crash (Yes, my iPhone is updated). Eventually, after a month the device completely stopped working. No lights, no pairing, nothing. I am now outside of my Amazon return window. Quite frankly, Im so frustrated with this thing, I wouldnt even waste my time driving it to the post office.

The factory rest button exists but is hidden by cover as a manufacturing defect. To switch internet carriers a rest is needed. Take off four back screws. Take off 3 board screws. Plug back in and then take of rubber reset guard. Hit both reset and on/off at same time. May take two to twenty five tries. The fast blue like becomes a less fast blue light and ready for programming. Drill a hole from back side using the guide of the cover. Reassemble... This works fine until this issue. I woudd not count on Woods for support as the EE in back office know the deal, while customer service has the lights turned off.

I like these plugs but the photo is very misleading. You have to read down a long way to find out youre getting one plug.

This product is okay as an alternative to home security. I only needed minimal home security in simulating someone being at home. I have this installed with a floor lamp, a TV and a floor standing electric fan. The good thing about this unit is that it has timers to choose from. Random, customized, or vacation. The units that are plugged into this outlet turns on and off randomly or you can fully control it with the app and turn it on or off whenever you want. The setup was a breeze, it only took 2 minutes. The only downside to this wifi outlet is that sometimes, it doesnt read the wifi connection. This may be a location-within-the-house problem (i.e. in between walls, distance from the wifi router, etc). I noticed there are times that it takes a few minutes to connect. All I have to do is close the app and reopen it and somehow that corrects the problem. Other than that, I wouldve (not would of) given this unit 5 stars and I can recommend this item.

Shhhh... dont tell anyone about these until I buy all the ones I need. Works great with the WiOn app, can set it for various timings, including sunset/sunrise or random on and off while youre away from home. Flip the lights on anywhere you happen to be.
