10 minutes to install and test the system. My original low voltage landscape lighting unit is ole school dial timer switch. Each season I would painstakingly remove the timer pegs to align with the new dusk/dawn (sunrise-sunfall). Most times it was miss instead of hit. I would play with these pegs and finally get it right-so lights come on just at night fall. Just as I got it timed right, it is time to change seasons(daylight savings central time-zone USA). 1.Installed the free app. 2. Plugged the WiON directly in electrical outlet where landscape light box was previously plugged 3. Plugged light box into Wion 4. In App setup the on & off times according to local sunset-sunrise data. 5 Sit back enjoy hands- free control of landscape lights. First attempt in getting this item to function was highly successful. Also noticed that I could manually control the lights with my smartphone through the free APP. This coming Fall season, I can simply see what time it gets dark and go to the app and set that time for each day of the week. Awesome function, convenience & price for automating my exterior lighting!

I live in a 3 story townhouse and the kitchen is on the second floor. I installed this so that I can start the coffee as soon as I get out of bed. I prefer this method versus a timer because I have trouble sleeping and do not get up at the same time every day. It has worked well. It was easy to install and by the time I make it down to the kitchen, my coffee is almost ready for me. I need my caffeine as soon as possible so works great. It is a bit bigger than I expected but for the price, it was quite a deal.

The item works as stated to a point. The installation is easy. The main issue Ive has is the consistancy of the app working properly and with minimal grief. I have two devices controlled by Wion and both are on the app. When I travel, upon opening the app, the wrong device shows it is on. If I reopen the app, it switches the item that shows it is on. In other words, I never know how the app will show the exact device that is really on. It may show a lamp in the living room on when it really is not when all the while the kitchen light was on instead but it was shown to be off. When super close to the house, it seems to work better. Maybe Wion will fix this soon. I do like the device overall.

Bought several of these to use with a few lamps around the house in order for lights to turn on/off while on vacation. Previously used dial and digital plug in timers that had to be manually set. The WiOn works great and can be controlled from your phone. The phone feature is really useful for when you are coming home after dark and want to turn on a light or two to greet you or if you forgot to turn the light timer on before you left! Setup is fairly easy to figure out and once done, youre good to go. The phone app is not all that fancy and could use an upgrade on the user interface overall look. But that said, the app is quite functional and works well. I would definitely recommend this product.

Easy setup fantastic timer with flexible settings in 24 hours.. NOTE ordered two units only one would connect to Alexa Guess Quality Control is a bit off.. Not to happy with this short coming

Love, love, love these WiFi outlets. Can set automatic timers, and also able to use manual override. In addition, we separately bought an Alexa Echo to pair multiple WiOn WiFi outlets with Alexa and then created “groups”. Using Alexa, we can use simple verbal commands to turn lamps on/off from either individual outlets or as a group of outlets.

I purchased 14 of these over 3 years through Amazon. Recently the APP seems to have stopped working and some existing devices have dropped off my network. Tried to connect 2 new out of the box devices and they wont connect to a network. They wont even enter the set up screen in the APP. Not sure if Woods is out of business or what is going on but when I reset devices already connected to my network, they wont reconnect and cant be set up to talk to a network. Very disappointing after investing hundreds of dollars.

I added this one to existing two that I have for couple years. They works great without wifi dropping or disconnect. I would buy another WiOn if I need to. Great switch that can be programed, controlled remotely on the phone app for smart home!

I have been using these WiOn wifi plugs for over a year now and they are awesome,,,easy to install and so user friendly.. If yo want to control lights and any other electrical devices from anywhere, this is what you need!

This product was easy to set up from Wifi to schedule. We added accent lights to our entryway, and really makes a huge difference with this timer.
