From when I first bought this computer in September of 2020 is had issues with the fan running loud and at times, when it would go dormant you could not “wake it up” - I would have to do a hard shut down. This became more and more frequent to the point where I was restarting it several times a day. Then about two weeks ago the touchpad stopped working entirely. The computer doesn’t even recognize that I am attempting to use it - I have to use an external mouse.

Hi, im from CHILE and I brought this item the 16th of October and arrived today, 28th, so far its amazing, the screen its so good, the performance its amazing, Im so happy, and I think this computer its the best value for the money, and the best, you easele can replace the ram and sdd memory, 100% recommended.

I bought the Acer Aspire 5 A515-44-R41B, the one with the Ryzen 5 4500u and the build-in GPU. This version only has one memory slot available where you can add up to a 16 GB DDR4, but to have the dual-channel I decided to order an 8 GB DDR4. The laptop is fast, I had to remove a few programs I didnt need in there but overall it was pretty clean. The downside for that light of laptop is the tiny, fragile, power connector... I wish Acer would fix that!

Bought these for our employees - we originally purchased 10 of them in late 2020. Two have catastrophically failed, beyond repair. They are less than two years old, with moderate daily use and are now essentially doorstops. And of course they are outside the warranty period, because computer manufacturers make these to break.

Nice computer but the audio output jack requires a reboot for the computer to recognize it and change from external to headphones. I had to return the computer. Other than that i loved it...but 560$ is too much for that kind of issue to deal with. I tried updating erything that could possibly update (bios too) but the issue remained..

I cant believe ACER sends out computers that are not completely assembled. The HDD Upgrade Kit came in a plastic envelope. The model I bought is not listed in the ACER site, so Im guessing the instructions for a similar model number should do. The first thing they tell you is that this should be performed by a qualified technician (which Im not). The second thing they tell you that any damage you cause while installing this kit will void the computers warranty. Why should I have to take apart a brand new computer to install parts that should have been installed by ACER? The least they can do is send me a voucher so i can get this part installed by a qualified technician at ACERs expense.

Im wondering why. i was so disappointed in a wonderful working fast respond time and booting computer like this you see a washed out colors everythings great but the monitor , its horrible my 7 years old laptop has much better picture then this junk sorry ACER, and also keyboards a little iffy but i could live with it . FIX the damn Monitor.

if your a gamer than it is not the best since it would get laggy if talking on discord w/ friends and playing. it also is very laggy with google meet. so running multiple programs at once is not suggested from my side. though over all it serves its purpose and is very good.

I bought this computer for my daughter to do online school, and it has been extremely unreliable. First, the charger constantly disconnects and reconnects and now does not charge at all. This computer loses the internet connection several times during my daughters remote classes (it does not happen when she uses my computer). I called Acer customer service, and I have to send my daughters computer to Texas to get it fixed, which will take about three weeks. They pay for shipping but do not provide any boxes or packing materials. They make it as inconvenient as possible. I bought an Acer for my daughter because I have one (bought in 2016) and it has been a great computer. The quality of Acer computers has decreased drastically. SAD!!!! Last Acer I purchase.
