> 24 hourThis is perfect for me to use as a replacement computer. I use it mainly for Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and email. It charges quickly and holds a charge for the long hours that I use it away from home.

> 24 hourYou cant win with cheap laptops or chromebooks. If you want to save money while getting the best specs on your (laptop) computer...look no further.

> 24 hourThe screen stopped working after a few months. I sent it into Acer Repair, and within a few weeks of sending it in, they finally got back to me saying that they had found internal liquid leaks - which isnt possible because the laptop was never subjected to conditions that would cause that. Overall, very bad experience and bad experience with customer service at Acer.

> 24 hourAbout what I expected. Purchased as a gift to replace a laptop that died. Big upgrade for them in both quality and decreased thickness. Setup went smoothly and it seems like it will do what they need it for: basic computer work like internet, email, etc. with an excellent portability.

> 24 hourThis is my sons computer. He is a student and likes it well enough, but he bent the little prong on the charger that came with it and its been nearly impossible to find a decent replacement. Its turned into one of those quality of life issues that makes you want to cut your losses and buy a new computer. Acer does not sell one on their website. If you google the make/model, you find some kind of sketchy sellers you might not want to trust. There are some for sale on e Bay that fit, but not quite right, so that the battery warning (which you cant turn off) will beep constantly if you move it while its plugged up. Caveat Emptor!! PS if you have your heart set on this computer (September 2020), wait. I paid half of its current price ($695) last December. This is definitely not worth what theyre asking for it now.

> 24 hourI bought this laptop [Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop, 15.6 Inches FHD IPS Display, 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8265U, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD] because it supposed to be able to upgrade it to 20GB adding 16GB RAM in the slot. That is a lie. In the comments and responses from the manufacturer they mentioned that this model has 4GB RAM soldered, but that its not true. It only has an slot with 8 GB memory, so if you remove it, the laptop doesnt have any memory. I did the process to upgrade the memory and to add an additional SSD. The SSD is fine, the laptop works fine with the two discs, the one from factory and the one added by me, but regarding the memory upgrade it was disappointing when I realized that theres no 4GB soldered, I expected to find in the slot a 4GB to changed with 16GB memory to complete 20GB, but as I said before, that is not true.
