For business applications, we have been impressed with the Acer Aspire 5 Slim Laptop. Over several months of use, this laptop has performed well and has not suffered from any problems. The construction seems solid enough, and it would really be a challenge to do better in this price range.

My computer is definitely not touch screen. It is however lightweight and easy to carry with one hand. I use it to play the sims 4 and it is great with all of my CC. I really enjoy this computer. Great buy!

I hope acer reads this. If you took a look at what it costs to put a 14 dollar intel card in this laptop I would of kept it. It insistently stood out to me and thats really the only issue with this laptop, otherwise its perfect.

I last owned an Acer laptop in 2004. Acer has really upped their game! The graphics are striking. The backlit keyboard is perfect. The generation 8 processor is blazingly fast. There are plenty of ports. Battery life is excellent. The SSD loads your programs and data amazingly fast. And it is lighter than all the competing laptops I could find at the big box store. Great for all around computing.

I purchased this laptop for my daughter for school. It was never dropped or anything and we woke up to a black screen one day. I mailed it to Acer due to it being under warranty for a year and they advised the screen had cracked. Again, we are not sure how and they refused to help at all. Such a waste.

I wanted to wait at least until my midterms came before I decide to review this laptop. I am a computer engineering major taking final computer science courses and I am absolutely loving working on this laptop. The keyboard is great and good enough for coding long hours. However, the ONLY complaint I have is that the arrow keys are not to my liking. The up and down arrow keys are too small. Oh, and also there are no home and end keys as well. But overall, its a great laptop for the price range.
