In terms of features these are great and setup was not difficult. My complaint is that I have had two (of 4) fail within four years. Perhaps Im asking too much but this was under light loads and I dont think the short lifespan is acceptable.

No website to get an instruction manual. User interface is only with phone (a browser interface would *really* be nice). Capabilities are learned only after walking through up to 6 levels of pages - really tedious. No time on (or time off) range feature, e.g. turn on sometime between 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm, similar for turn off. I dont do Alexa. Device has potential but plan on spending a fair amount of time trying to figure it out. Hmmmm is the app maintained to work with phone OS updates? Since there is no mfg website, dont count on this being supported well into the future...

After 45 minutes, Im sad to report that SmartLife should be the app you use to bring it into Alexa. Do not use the printed instructions. Do not do anything but use SmartLife. Once its connected, works perfectly!

I Use these on several things around the house for automation. These cost less than clock style timers and offer way more flexibility in setup. Ive had some of these for over a year and had zero issues with any of them. I will definitely buy these again

I picked these up specifically because as much as I like zwave technology, it seems to be rather expensive to implement large scale (even if it works pretty flawlessly). So thus became the hunt for some Home Assistant compatible plugs for some limited use applications. (turning off floor lamps and the such).. The box doesnt state HA compatibility, but after testing with Home assistant and my Conner ZWave/ZigBee stick, I can say HA does see the device and is able to toggle the state. Other than that, its a wifi Electrical outlet.. it works (ie: current passes through to the device, voltage seems pretty stable, noticed no major spikes or drops (have a multimeter)). Note, its not rated for a Fridge or other HEAVY motor (I have not tested it, but reading through the specs.. I wouldnt try it.. but for non-motorized applications it seems to work pretty good. Wifi/ZigBee, while MUCH cheaper to implement over ZWave (Opensource vs. Licensed), I have to say implementing Zigbee is a pain.. (not the device, just the overall tech). But the range for it is quite nice (much better than zwave, assuming a small number of devices) If you are not a sadist.. you can just grab their Smart Life app and use that to control the plugs and make scenes.. But the real power in these plugs is integrating them into larger systems so you have true automation.

Two of the four have died in three months. Unfortunately, the second just after the return window closed. Very disappointing.

Love this WiFi plug. The app was easy to get and to set up and connect to my internet router. Took all of maybe 2 minutes. You just plug it in and have your phone in your hand. Download the free Smart Life app. Plug comes with directions that are easy to follow. The app is very easy to use as well. Love how I can turn light on/off with app on my phone, just tap the picture of the plug (see my screen shots of my phone app). I also have it scheduled to turn light on and off at a certain time every day. You can individualize each days schedule if you want as far as the times it turns on and off. Also you can have it NOT turn on at all if you want on certain days. The times are in military time so that took me a minute to calculate what time 11pm would be, but thats just my lack of familiarity with using military time. There is an option that allows you to have it turn on/off at random times. I have not used this feature yet. There is also a timer feature that allows you to turn the light (or whatever you have plugged into it) on a have it stay on for a set length of time. Lets say you want to leave it on for 30 min. set timer and it will turn off in 30 min.! You can use also manually press the button on the plug itself to turn things on/off. You can label rooms in your home and keep adding new WiFi plugs to your app. It is great to know that if you are not home and you want to turn a light on, you can. I am still working on figuring out how to use all the voice control features. I am going to purchase more of these. I am sure this is going to save on my electric bill as there will be no more falling asleep on the couch with the light left on for hours.

Bought these to control our Christmas lights. Tree outlet is behind the tree and a pain to get to. This was an easy solution to that problem. Also used the timer feature to control the outside lights and upstairs window lights. These worked great. Used the app to set timers and control them. Integration was super simple. Working great.

Pro: compact, seem to be well built, integrate nicely with Alexa. I recommend setting them up all at once, even eif youre not going to use them all at once. Then when youre ready, plug one of the already programmed plugs in, and let Alexa know what you want to do with it. Con: the instructions were a little vague. Once I figured them out, all work well.

I use three of these all the time. I wake up to lights in the morning to keep me from sleeping in, thanks to the Timer feature and I can turn them on or off with my iPhone or with the little power button on the side, so you dont need a Smartphone to make these things work, but its more fun if you do!
