Its great. I bought two - one for my computer desk as the computer room gets hotter than the rest of the house and one for my husbands desk out in the garage. Only had them a couple of days, but so far, GREAT!

Our glass surround office building is waiting on a part for the air conditioning system. The office gets miserably hot. We have all been buying fans. I found this and thought Id try it. This keeps my area nice and cool and is sooooo much better than a fan that is just pushing around warm air. It basically cools the air using ice, so if you cant easily add ice, you may not be as proud of it. Luckily we have an ice machine so I add ice twice a day.

This works great for my situation. My husband is elder with health issues. He is very cold natured. Needs house to be warm. I am just the opposite, hot natured. If you follow the instructions it will last a good 8 hours. It allows me to stay cool and still keep my husband comfortable

Everything came as pictured. Followed the directions BUT if the room is hot it doesnt really cool it down but for a few minutes. Not worth what we paid for it.

my air conditioner in my apartment has been out for 2.5 weeks. supposedly they ordered a new A/C unit to replace ours, but it still hasnt been replaced. luckily it had been cool enough outside to crack the window to let some air in at night and i could get some sleep. it is the end of november but still 80+ degrees F in florida. i bought this out of desperation to help me get some sleep. i would absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs some relief. it definitely is not strong enough to cool my whole apartment, but it is perfect for me to get some rest and have by my bed and feel comfortable. i made sure to freeze the filter before the first use, as well as put ice and cold water from the fridge in the reservoir. this works perfectly for helping you cool down in a warm situation where a regular fan isnt cutting it. it is worth buying as an inexpensive option, but obviously is not as good as an A/C unit that costs a couple hundred bucks. i have the tshirt rag under it as the foam feet on the bottom left tiny scuffs on my table and i wanted to prevent more. the scuffs came off with water and a paper towel, so no big deal

So 2.0 version is quieter, but this is only due to the fact that the fan on high is no longer as strong. High is now equivalent to LOW on the version prior. Also, there STILL is no option to turn the lights OFF! There is a night light that still shines in my eyes at night on my nightstand, keeping me awake. The other lights are even brighter than the previous version. We dont need to pay an extra $20 for a fan that barely blows and fancy lights that blind ya. Also, the air filter felt is less than half the other versions. I have allergies, and when though this is just a fancy fan, I NEED the air filter. Stick to the ORIGINAL version and price!

Ive seen some of the other reviews complaining this little evaporative cooler fan isnt blasting cold air...well jeez, for $40, youre not going to get central air conditioning. I set mine on my patio table (here in hot sunny Arizona), keep the dampened cooler pad grid in the freezer so it can chill, grab a cup of ice cubes and a bit of water, pour into to the top of the unit, install the frozen pad grid, and turn it on. It doesnt put out really cold air, just cooler air. It has an adjustable vent so you can aim it up or down. Its not all that quiet, especially in Turbo mode, but not an issue outside for me. I do understand some reviewers mentioning the lighting issue (because they are trying to use this to help them sleep). Even with all the LED light options turned OFF, the power and mode LEDs (amber), still stay lit, and shine through the plastic housing. Duct tape should resolve that. Overall, I didnt expect greatness from this little box, but it does beat a regular desktop fan (and my outdoor ceiling fan) that just blows hot air around. It doesnt take up a lot of space, and the small Micro-USB cable doesnt get in the way, or become difficult to manage. Arctic...no, cool breeze....sure. Long lasting...only until the ice cubes melt and the pads dry out, but by then, Im ready to head back indoors for more ice, and a cocktail refill. Cheers!

Although it is not a a/c unit ,it does a great job blowing cool air.a touch better than a fan, it has surprised me by doing much more.

Rather flimsy. One of the pieces from the front fell off the moment I began to unpack it. The machine worked fine for a few weeks but suddenly quit one day so I returned it.
