Unfortunately the chickens did not like the material and made a mess of this as much as shavings

New to the chicken world and hens love this for laying eggs

These are easy to use. I change them out about every 3 weeks,sooner if they get dirty. The hens like them.

They keep the eggs clean, provide cushion, and arent easily scratched out of the nest by my hens.

They were impossible to clean and makes a big mess in the coop. A complete waste of money, threw them away after less than a week.

I like that a box is cheaper than a bale of hay. I think they are synthetic so they dont get moldy like hay can. They have like a wax paper lining that does hold in moisture. My hens scrape it off into a nest shape so if there is and moisture the eggs will be sitting in it. Still better and less expensive than the moldy hay bales I have been getting at tractor supply. I would prefer it without the wax paper liner it comes stuck to.

chickens lay everywhere and for the first time they laid in the actual box not every time but its a start lol
