> 3 dayOther reviewers mentioned that CAT went cheap on the brass and they werent joking.... The goop they use to seal the threads is also pretty nasty stuff...smells like some sort of epoxy. The compressor I got from them was kind of leaky until I taped and reseated everything, so I didnt even bother filling the tank up before replacing the fittings. I cant say for sure if they are even brass. As you can see the Tee fitting broke apart as I was removing it. The tank itself is very lightweight and feels solid. Im wary about replacing the drain valve and main intake fitting since I dont want to deal with returning the item should anything happen. I dont think the threaded ports that are welded onto the tank are solid aluminum, but what can you expect for about $100? Its still a good value, but I wish they would have not included the extras and maybe just had more solid ports.

> 3 dayPros: light (purchased the AL tank), nice design, nice features (1/4 turn drain, valve to isolate tank from brass, can be filled two ways) Cons: cheap brass, poor assembly Purchased this tank to match the California Air Tool compressor I purchased at the orange hardware store. I give in 3.5 stars because I really like the tank now that it works correctly. If you purchase this tank please be aware that your will need replace all most all the brass on that comes on the tank. It is cheap and clearly the part of the product that was skimped on the reduce costs. Had to replace all the brass in the in photo with higher quality products from the orange hardware store. The isolation valve and hose coupler leaked and the tee fitting split when replacing the leaky parts. Save yourself some time and have all of these on hand. All are 1/4” npt by the way. The tire chuck hose whip came with nipple finger tight only. Additionally it had an excessive amount of Teflon tape on the hose fitting end including tape covering the opening of the fitting. I also found this on the brass on the tank. This is very poor assembly quality that can damage your tools as the Teflon tape does not break down and clogs screens and jams tools. Sad to see California Air Tools put a sticker on the tank that proudly says it was assembled in the USA but has such poor assembly quality. Please leave the sticker off in future.

> 3 dayProduct arrived in good condition on time. Had to change the air tool connectors to automotive type - not sellers problem. The fittings provided on the unit seemed to be of adequate quality, I just dont use that type. The tank has held air without leak for 3 days. BONUS: a nice touch was the purge valve at the bottom of the tank for periodic condensation removal! Aluminum tank is much lighter and easy to handle than steel tank!! And it does not rust.

> 3 dayMy compressor is in the front of the garage. And we have a large back yard, so having to take the lawn tractor, dump trailer or some other cart with aired tires around to the front of the house to add air is nuts, I use this tank to air up tires in the backyard. I have about 14 tires back there. Love it!

> 3 dayAt 28 lb it seems quite heavy but it seems to be the best on the market. If I had to do it over, Id buy the aluminum version as that one weighs only 13 lb. I was not impressed with the attached air hose or ball foot air chuck on the end so I threw it away and replaced it with a 6ft piece of 1/4 Flexzilla hose with the replaceable fittings and a higher quality air chuck.

Greater than one weekTank is great.. fittings are bad. At the ranch we pretty much took off all the brass fittings and threw him in the junk drawer. The way you set it up air comes out of your air compressor into the t-fitting and constantly keeps the tank at pressure while giveing extra air capacity in the system. When needed the quick connect allows you to take the tank off and carry it out to fill up a tractor tire or something as its always charged. The problem is the fittings are very cheap and even leaked when the tank was brand new, my husband however says the tank is great the tig welds are beautiful and its super light and will never rust ...were keeping it. Another plus is unlike most portable air tanks it has a water drain off valve.

09-04-2025GOOD STEEL TANK, A LITTLE FLIMSY ON THE GAUGES AND VALVES BUT THEY WORK. THATS WHAT KEEPS THE PRICE DOWN. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS ONE TO SOMEONE THAT WILL BE THOROUGHGOING IT IN THE BACK OF A TRUCK EVERY DAY.

> 3 daymet my expectations just fine. I wish in a way I had got the aluminum rather than the steel for the light weight but I guess the steel will hold up longer. works just like it is suppose to. filled it with 100lbs of air , brought it home and pumped up both bike tires . no problem. Its all steel so the most that could go wrong is with the fittings and they can be replaced. Soooo, all is good. thanks
