California Air Tools CAT-AUX10A Lightweight Portable Aluminum Air Tank, 10 Gallon, Silver

Nice tank, seems well made and lightweight as advertised. HOWEVER, the fittings are very low quality and I would have preferred to save $15 and not have them included. Right out of the box, the tire chuck was leaking. I removed it and noticed the quick connect leaked as well. I replaced the quick connect and filled it up again to find that the 1/4 turn shut off valve wouldnt stop air from coming back out. To top this all up, the T-junction snapped off when I was untying the valve and I had to replace that too.

This tank had leaks at 3 locations. I sealed all but the main one at the tank outlet. They need to some work this. I returned the tank to Amazon. California customer service was very easy to deal with, and they said they switched the lock tight supplier, but that is where the good customer support ends. I will order another one, and we shall see. Some of the leaks were really small, as I did the checks in a water tank to identify them...To add to the list very poor customer support. I asked for a replacement for a leaking fitting, and was told to fill out a form on their website. I did that, and heard nothing from them. I wont buy again. I was going to buy a compressor, but with lax support I will not.. After a few more weeks I find another issue. Another leak where the hose is crimped to the fitting. Everything leaks on the tank. So if you order one throw all the fittings away, and get some good ones, as these are junk. One more thing to add. Notice that the seller never responds.

delivery was fast and I feel the tank is built very well. READY TO BE PUT TO WORK right out of the BOX! I am looking forward for my future purchase of CALIFORNIA AIR TOOLS , air compressor..

California Air Tools are well made. I have a compressor along with this portable air tank. The portable air tank is quick coupled to the compressor for additional air receiver volume.

most of the hardware was left loose. the fitting into the tank was so tight, heat , cheater bar, nothing worked to loosen it up. one of the air fittings on the tank was pointing directly at the handle so you couldnt get an air line on. nice tank, terrible assembly. wont purchase from this vender again. I would bet nobody reads or cares about this review. chuck

GOOD STEEL TANK, A LITTLE FLIMSY ON THE GAUGES AND VALVES BUT THEY WORK. THATS WHAT KEEPS THE PRICE DOWN. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS ONE TO SOMEONE THAT WILL BE THOROUGHGOING IT IN THE BACK OF A TRUCK EVERY DAY.

This is a fantastic product. The patented air intake mechanism is awesome for filling. We have used dozens of air tanks over the years at the Auction and this is far and away the yard guys favorite. Being in NH with older makes and cooler nights trades come in with low air in tires every week this is a life saver. The extra capacity with the ease to add air quick and accurately without damaging the hardware is well worth the money.
