Easy to install to my iMac 2017 with no issues. The memory was effective immediately and I notice fast loads and rendering!

I have an iMac Pro (2017, retina, 27, base memory 8GB) that I like except for the memory - its too slow, and gets jammed up if Ive opened too many programs. With great trepidation, I read the Apple specs to see what memory I should get to upgrade, found that the local shops didnt have much on hand, and decided to do it myself. The directions seemed straightforward, but this isnt my strong suit, and my hands arent particularly strong, so I didnt know if I could remove the original memory or seat the new memory. I ordered a set of two 16GB memory chips for this model, and waited until someone was around in case something went awry who might be able to assist. Apples explanation was very clear about how to add memory. I also read reviewer comments to see what problems others had encountered. The only hitch was in pushing the button to open the memory compartment - that needed more pressure from an implement other than my finger (e.g., a small screwdriver). I decided to try using the two empty slots, leaving the old 4GB chips in place, since it would still be balanced, and put the chips in (easily), closed up, put the cables back and the machine upright, and voila! It worked! my iMac is much quicker, and so far it hasnt frozen or jammed up, so Im very pleased with these chips. They have made a noticeable, welcome change, and Im not feeling like such a klutz!

I followed others feedback along with apples instructions and the memory worked on my first attempt. I have a 27in. 2017 iMac, left the original memory in the existing slots (2&4) and put the new 16gb sticks into the open slots (1&3). Worked like a charm. The one side effect was that my external monitor was no longer being recognized. I restarted the computer and reset the p-ram. Unplugged and re inserted the external monitor cable and voila.

Easy to install. Much less expensive then getting it installed by Apple

For pennys on the dollar (compared to paying Apple for the upgrade) I was able to add 64 GB of ram to my iMac. Install took about 90 seconds and thats because I spent a minute carefully laying the big beautiful display down on something to protect it.

I used four 16g sticks of RAM to upgrade my new iMac, after having problems with those from a different vendor. These went in effortlessly and the computer didnt throw any codes. I and the computer are now humming along. The Apple tech told me to get Crucial and nothing else. They seem to know what they are talking about.
