I had some quality issues at the beginning with my unit, but Dell has been great with dealing with me and supported me more than any other brand I thought wouldve. Those looking for G-sync can enable it in the Nvidia control panel but be warned that with this panel you may experience flickering on games (most notably with Apex legends). I have gotten used to it, but the device isnt certified to work with G-sync, but for most games it is fine. Overall, Dell has done a fine job supporting me with problems on this monitor and the monitor itself can be a great introduction into the ultrawide landscape. I have this hooked up to my 3080 and am lucky enough to experience most games at 144Hz at this resolution; recently Halo Infinite has been a blast and games like Microsoft Flight simulator are a wonderful experience, second only to VR. The monitor is a VA panel, so expect common problems with it - but since it is curved it still does a much better job in viewing angles compared to most TNs on the market. The monitor is light, relatively speaking, for a 34 inch ultrawide with these features as I am able to use my VESA monitor stand at the end of my desk. The included stand is fine with it being height and angled adjustable - but a monitor stand with VESA should be the way to go.

Very nice Monitor with a good picture. I have had some issues with the monitor locking down after sleep mode! Perhaps, I should not have ordered a like new return. Everything was in the box and in good shape but it might have been returned due to my stated issue!

After Burn-in streaking wasnt a problem on my monitor. However the 144hz refresh rate at full res and HDR needs displayport. Ive got it connected to a laptop with only HDMI out. The monitor is able to run it at 100hz and with HDR well.

I love this monitor its very fairly priced, Alienwhere (Owned By Dell) has a monitor that is more expensive and the only thing different is just cosmetic. This is up with Scepter for bang for the buck in my opinion.

i’ve had this monitor for about 4 months now. it’s still working fine and i’ve had no issues with it. pros - pretty good image quality for it only being 1080p on a 27 inch. obliviously if you are big into having this crisp clear image you give some of that up for the size so make note if you want to be able to see tiny details to invest in something with a higher quality. but it gets the job done and still looks pretty good. - the size is something to get adjusted to if upgrading from a smaller monitor. the curve adds to your overall gameplay. i found it to be more immersive and give me a different feel to the games i already play. - the color is good and gives you many options. a lot of the monitor can be adjusted in its settings so any issues you find can already be fixed on your own. -you can easily adjust the height of this. sometimes it can be a bit hard if you want to do a small adjustment but that doesn’t bother me. -no dead pixels or any screen ghosting. i’ve had this monitor left on the same image for hours and have seen no burn in. as well as no random dead pixels anywhere. - very smooth. even just scrolling on any random website looks smooth so with games it makes it feel like you got a new pc too. cons -a lot of the darker tones can be washed out. after messing with the color settings for a while i still haven’t found the perfect mix of brightness that doesn’t sacrifice any darker colors. it doesn’t bother me that much but note that if you want a bright screen know you sacrifice a lot of the darker tones for that. -any smaller words such as typing a paper or any reading is sometimes difficult to see. i wouldn’t recommend this for someone looking to do work for long hours. this is alright if you want to do mainly gaming and occasionally maybe homework but if you need to read small text just stick to working on a laptop. -the monitor doesn’t turn off on its own. (this is more of a personal thing but i wish there was a setting where if there was no input that the monitor could automatically turn off. - can’t really angle it up or down. you can slightly put it at an angle but you can only really move it up and down. - i figured this is a given since it’s a monitor but it doesn’t include speakers. you’ll have to buy your own speakers if you want to do anything without headphones on. overall this monitor gives out more than the price point it’s put at. if you’re looking for an affordable monitor that still offers a good/smooth look and size go with this.

For context, I am coming from a Dell S2721DGF 27 1440p 165Hz IPS Freesync/Gsync monitor to this Dell S3422DWG 34 1440pUW 144Hz VA Freesync monitor. My plan had been to at some point move from 1440p to 4k once I upgraded from my RX6800, but after seeing some stuff on Ultrawides, I decided that even though its not really a step up in resolution from 1440p (except side to side), going Ultrawide would make more of a difference for me in games and on the desktop than just an increase in resolution like 4k. Sure, 4k would look sharper, but Id still be having the same game experience, while with Ultrawide I actually see more on the screen. 1440p Ultrawide is also easier to run than 4k, so thats another benefit, and I dont sit so close to the monitor that I can see any issue with 1440p not being sharp enough. In any case, as far as the monitor goes, I am very happy with it. Im not sure I can comment on the VA panel not being as vibrant as my old IPS panel, while I did have the old IPS one configured and just have the VA set to one of the color modes, I am not seeing anything that makes me think, Man, my old IPS monitor looked better than this... As far as ghosting, I havent noticed any with the monitor set to Super Fast mode, testing in various games (CP2077, Witcher 3, NFS Unbound, SWJ: Survivor, RDR2, Tiny Tinas Wonderlands). I have had to turn down some game settings here and there to try and maintain my FPS, but that is something I knew would happen considering I moved from 2560x1440 to 3440x1440 without making a GPU upgrade. I am also loving the lack of backlight bleed on the VA panel. When the screen goes dark the black levels are just darker than on my old IPS panel, and when the screen goes dark for loading screens or things like that, I no longer have brighter spots in the corners or edges, its all uniform. I love that. (not as dark as OLED obviously, but I also dont have to worry about burn in) I included shots of the black uniformity test between the two Dell monitors from Rtings as an example of what Im talking about. I also dont have any issues with the viewing angles. Even when I stand off to the side I can still see whats on the monitor fine, and when I sit in front of the monitor as I always do when actually using my computer, I have not seen any issues with poor viewing angles during regular use. As a whole, the gaming experience does feel more immersive with the wider natural field of view (in some games like SWJ: Survivor I actually had to reduce the FOV settings because it was getting too stretched on the far edges). I am getting used to the monitors slight curve on the desktop, which I dont see the benefit of for everyday use, but in game I dont notice the curve at all, and for all I know it might actually be helping with the wide view immersion in that situation. Overall Im very happy with my decision to go ultrawide with this VA panel, especially since with at least this specific monitor I am not noticing the drawbacks people at times complain about with VA panels with this monitor, ghosting, poor viewing angles and the colors not being as good as IPS. Im sure if I had a way to measure colors, response times and ghosting and all the other stuff Id see a difference (I know there is some just by looking at the RTings reviews), but to my eye when in use I see no problems.

This is a great monitor for the price. Is this as good as a 4K curved monitor with a high refresh rate? No. But it’s less than half the price of one and at it’s price point there is little to nothing that’s as good as this on the market. Great value for your money.

I like it and will keep it but a heads up I noted a difference from my old 4k monitor which was only 24 inches and standard ratio. I like the imersivness but with some games I miss the 4k
