> 3 dayI was forced to buy another monitor after my 160HZ HP decided it was time to go after 5 years of hard use and this was the perfect replacement. the IPS panel is a game changer when you want to do literally anything on it other than gaming. the screen brightness is solid and the colors are very good. If you have an Nvidia graphics card do some color correction with the built in software to get the best results out of this monitor. Cheers!

> 3 dayWhile this monitor is certified FreeSync Premium Pro, if you set it up using the included cables and Dell monitor drivers youll notice that anytime the refresh rate adjusts while gaming intense flickering will occur. After some investigating I found a fix and it is: 1. Purchase an upgraded VESA certified display port 1.4 cable. It seems not all display port 1.4 cables are created equal and since 1440p at 144 hz is near the cables maximum bandwidth, any deviation in quality can result in poor performance and cause flickering. 2. Dont install the drivers supplied by Dell for the monitor, for some reason they mess things up. Instead, just install your AMD video card drivers and the Radeon control center. Also, use the Windows Generic PnP monitor driver thats enabled by default. I think doing so disables HDR, but its a small price to pay in my opinion. Of course, being a VA display its still susceptible to flickering on game menus, loading screens and when framerates drop really low (like 60-70 fps). I also notice flickering on any game that caps the framerate at 60 fps and doesnt let you change it (such as Sim City). But the vast majority of gameplay is flawless (for instance Call of Duty Coldwar with framerates constantly adjusting between 115 - 135 fps). And if you do encounter a game that has lots of flickering (which is unlikely with first person shooters and any other games optimized for high end graphics cards) you can easily disable FreeSync through the Radeon Control center at the touch of a button. Finally, just a note to add, I am using a RX 6900 XT.

> 3 dayI bought this Dell Curved Gaming, 34 Inch Curved Monitor with 144Hz Refresh Rate, WQHD (3440 x 1440) Display, Black - S3422DWG and would be going from a 27 IPS screen to this VA screen. Reading about the differences I was expecting the picture on my new Dell to be a bit of a downgrade on how the colors would pop. I was willing to make this tradeoff for more screen real estate. However while there is a difference in the two monitors, as to be expected between any monitors, the color issue is nonexistent. This monitor, hooked through the display port, running at 144 HZ, on a 1660 super card is simply brilliant. I did a lot of youtube research before deciding on what model to buy and this one kept coming up as the best in its class as a VA screen. The next possible option was to go IPS and spend another $300-350. Im glad I decided to save a bit of cash and go with this Dell. Its bright, clear, with no dead or bright pixels. Sitting in front of the screen there is no fade as one looks to the edges. Also for a VA screen one can go quite a ways side to side before noting any fade in the picture. To me that is a nonissue anyway as Im always at the desk if using the computer. I was going to install it on my moveable arm but, the stand is so nice, and the monitor so big that I decided not to do that. Instead I used the included stand and it works great. My adjustable arm and old 27 were moved together to my old standby computer and are doing quite well there. The only issue I had was registering it at Dell. When I clicked on the link at their site to register it would only take me to their diagnostic tool that would determine what product I had. Heres where the trouble started as it would only scan my pc, not a Dell, and say my computer couldnt be registered. Duh, its not a Dell. So to register it to my Dell account I had to call Dell support and talk to a tech who completed the registration for me. Ive had it now for almost three weeks and couldnt be happier with my choice.

> 3 dayUp front, Im not a gamer. I bought this to use for work from home, and for recording (Reaper). It was to replace a pair of 27 Acer CB2s (IPS). The extra horizontal pixel real estate is great, as is the curve, which is really easy to get used to. The extra width makes displaying two windows side by side really intuitive and really cuts down on needing to resize or scroll either horizontally. Im totally sold on this size, resolution and the curve. It took me about 5 minutes to realize theres no going back - though this particular monitor went back, more on that in a minute. While I love the size and format, this monitor was initially a bit of a let down for my intended use. The VA panel is much more washed out and inconsistent off axis, and its quite noticeable next to an IPS panel. Note- understanding this is the nature of the panel technology, and that curved IPS monitors are currently offered at a much higher price point, Im not deducting stars for this. I just feel its important to point out for anyone else considering replacing an existing IPS 16:9 monitor with this. If youre not going to use it SxS with an IPS monitor, this might not be as big of an issue for you. It gets plenty bright and the contrast and sharpness are good enough for office use. The first thing that did cost a star was VESA mounting. If you intend to mount it a VESA mount, the depth of the mounting plate makes this exceptionally difficult. Its recessed deeper than any monitor Ive ever seen. It appears this is purely for aesthetic reasons to make the stock stand integrate into the weird super deep ribbed design of the back of the monitor. The mounts I have are made by Humanscale with a quick release plate which wont work with this deep mounting design. I had to attach the whole arm with the plate attached, then fit it to the post/clamp assembly. Mind you this is a big heavy monitor, so its quite difficult to do. If the arms of my monitor didnt separate from the desk clamp easily, this would have been a two-person job. Another star was lost with the menu and controls. The multiple buttons and joy stick thingy on the back right edge just plain suck. While you can assign functions to the individual buttons, I could never seem to hit the right one for it to be useful at all. Its just a bunch of buttons on the back of the monitor that I cant see. One or two buttons and a joystick might work, but any more than three is madness. I would nearly always hit the wrong button causing it to switch to an input other than what I wanted or on which there was no signal- which means you have to wait for it to register this before you can correct your mistake, which is just exasperating. Also the the edge location of the controls means that if you have a multi monitor setup, you cant get to the controls that abut another monitor on that edge without swiveling one of the monitors- and note that the supplied stand doesnt swivel. Many LG monitors have a single joy stick control on the bottom center of the monitor which is way more useful for multi-monitor setup. The remaining stars were lost due was an annoying issue with the supplied HDMI cable (: It kept blanking periodically for 5-10 seconds. I tried several quality certified cables and still experienced the issue- with both an HP Elitebook and a Lenovo T470 (both in docking stations). I also had issues with the Display Port too: Coming out of hibernate, I had to power cycle the monitor and mess with Display Properties in Windows 10 to get it to work - EVERY time. The final straw which caused me to pack it up and return it was a 3/8 streak of bad / burned pixels in the center of the screen. I ended up sending it back and bought a pair of 35 LG 35WN65C-Bs, which Im much happier with. Theyre also VA panels, but the colors seem a little less muted, and the off-axis presentation is a little more even. The mounting point is much shallower and works with my mounts, the picture is warmer, and the inputs are much easier to access; For the life of me, I dont understand why monitor manufacturers think its good product design to hide the inputs upside-down where theyre completely invisible with the monitor in normal upright orientation, and only providing tiny embossed black on black labels which you simply cannot read without a bright flashlight. The LGs are straight in on the back, about half way up, where you can see the orientation and location of the port (even if the labels are still nearly invisible). The external DC power brick also means a lighter monitor on the arm and easier, cleaner cable routing from the monitor to the back of the desk.

Greater than one weekSo Luckily i got this on a discount on black Friday. Note this is a1440p Monitor with a high refresh rate of 165MHz. Which is a better refresh rate for gaming then a 4K monitor. That being said this is a great monitor. BUT considering the cost..... this is NOT an HDR monitor. Why that is important is this is High Dynamic Range. Which is different from Pixels. HDR 10 or High Dynamic makes black and whites better and really showcases light and shadows better. Without it, most screens will have either a gray or kind of washed out color to it. For $300 dollars you can get similarly priced monitors with 1440p and HDR for the same cost such as the MSI 32inch curved monitor. Which is also larger then this. This is already 1 year old and there are better monitors out there for almost the same price. Get one that is 32inch curved, 1440p, and with HDR. Just not this one.

> 3 dayFirst I will say that Im going off of Prime. The shipping is becoming to problematic with drivers taking hours breaks when youre next in delivery. The guy literally drive past my house and Im still waiting on the replacement to be delivered 5 hours later. This is not the first time this has happened, so were ending Prime as we order mostly tech. We can get this shipped to the Best Buy store or ordered for pickup and waste less time waiting for delivery to avoid stolen packages. That way we can just go get them when were ready, instead of sitting around half the day waiting for a delivery time in flux. Im doubting this will even get delivered tonight, so Im probably going to be doing the same thing tomorrow. --- As for the panel itself. Its a fine build quality. The colors are nice. The brightness is nice. However, the marketing is misleading as you will not get great results if you try to run this panel as Extremely Fast. There will be overshoot. It will be noticeable. So, forget about 1ms G-to-G response times. Youre going to be running 2 at best. My panel had multiple bright pixels in the panel. I had to queue up an exchange immediately. One Im sometimes good with, depending on location, but mine had like 3-4, and with any dark picture on the screen, they become VERY noticeable. The USB ports are a nice touch, and the varied placement is great. Works well with FreeSync and GSync. There are drivers at the Dell Website which installs the correct display profile for Windows. The unit ships with both a DP and HDMI cable. Not sure why they didnt put speakers in them. Sometimes I dont feel like wearing a headset (fatigue, etc.). At this price point... thats a curious omission. EDIT: Replacement monitor arrived with no dead or bright pixels. Household agrees we can let Amazon Prime go and just order our tech for Store Delivery with Best Buy. Allows us to get packages without staying up until 9-10PM when we have to be up for 5-6AM.

> 3 dayI needed a new monitor to connect to my home and work laptops now that I am working from home more. This monitor has enough resolution and screen real estate for my needs. I dont do a lot of gaming so I cannot comment on whether it is a good monitor for gaming. With 2 HDMI ports, I can connect both my work laptop and my home laptop to it (both laptops only have HDMI for external video) and program the buttons to be able to switch between them with realtove ease. This is not an ultra wide monitor, but for the price and what I use it for, this has been a really good monitor.

> 3 dayThis is a really great monitor. I picked it up on a Black Friday sale for ~$200. Because it was so cheap, I honestly didnt realize it was going to be so big! (which is not a complaint, the measurements are right in the title). I was replacing a small tv monitor that i had been using for work & gaming. This is a huge upgrade. Pros: - its not a weird widescreen resolution, so websites dont get stretched oddly - the stand allows for a lot of control on height and tilt, right out of the box. - Really good clarity and color balance without much adjustment - a simple cable management hole in the stand made all the difference in keeping my desk neat with a wired keyboard + webcam. Really a nice touch. Cons - It is VERY heavy once set up. It can be difficult to adjust on a desk because of that. If you have noodle arms like me, a second person might be helpful to have around if you need to pick it up and move it off the floor.
