> 3 dayI purchased Dragon 11 from Staples, not the student edition but the full price package. I have the box in hand, the disk, and the Quick Reference Card, and I paid extra for the blue tooth device. I have spent 2 to 3 hours trying to activate my product and appearantly I dont have a valid serial number. I cant even find one single place on the box or on the disk that says Serial Number ...... or S/N Thanks to Nuance for wasting my time and money. Your customer service and ease of set up is a total disappointment. I sure hope a competitor enters the market soon and takes your business away. You dont deserve any financial success you have reaped over the years, if this is the way you treat customers.

Greater than one weekThe product does Not come with a serial number. You are instructed to go on line and submit your information and the product number. A few business days later you will get an email that will ask for a copy of your student ID card and other personal information in order to be granted a serial number so that you can continue with the long enrollment process before you will be able to use their product. I submitted everything they asked for but it is now several weeks later after purchase and the customer service people keep emailing me that they have not received my student ID information. I have numerous outgoing emails that I sent to these jokers proving that I did submit my student ID and the other personal private financial information that they requested, but still I have not received a serial number from them. The makers of this product are scam artists. I believe now that there is no way that their product could possibly work. Do not waste your time or money on this product! It is just not worth it. I gave them 1 star because there was no option for a zero star or a negative star. This company is very bad.

> 3 dayI purchased Dragon Naturally Speaking student edition a week or two ago and delayed set up and registraton, because I was intimidated by some of the reviews I read here. The registration process was simple and only required one e-mail to get product registration, which was sent to me a immediately. The only requirement for a product registration was my student e-mail address. I thought it would take hours to train my dragon but found it was very simple. I am not computer savvy and I get frustrated easily but this process was seamless. I wish I had taken the time two weeks ago to set it up. Version 11 student/teacher is easy to use and has already proven to be a good investment. Perhaps the nuance customer support has improved since the other reviews are written. I am still training my Dragon, but believe it will save me hours of typing that can be spent in more productive ways.

> 3 dayI have nerve damage to my right hand due to a work injury and at 53 I have had to rethink my life and go back to college so that I will be able to work again in the future. I purchased Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium 11 Student Edition the end of December. There was no problem at all getting the registration key, all you need is your college email address. The instructions tell you it will take 24 hours, but I received my key in less than 30 minutes. It takes a while to get your voice profile setup. For some reason the quick voice training didnt work and I had to read a passage from a list of books. That took about 30 minutes and then I was off and running. While the program doesnt get every word you say perfect every time, I would say its 98% correct most of the time. This version included a very nice headset with microphone and I have been able to write my first 3 essays in less time that it would have taken me any other way. I speak it types, I tell it to open Word, it opens Word. Its like Im dictating to a person and they are doing all the hard work for me. It is an amazing program and is worth every penny. I highly recommend this program for anyone with a disability and even for those without one.

> 3 dayI have owned Dragon NaturallySpeaking since version 3, and have always appreciated the excellent improvements. My experience with Version 11 is that it is a significant downgrade from the quality I have been used to. The software crashes frequently and I have to exit and reload to continue. Ive tried reinstalling, but that does not help. In addition, simple things are quite annoying like if I place my cursor at the beginning of a sentence, it does not capitalize automatically. It also does not add spaces automatically. Dragon NaturallySpeaking never used to do this with the previous Version 9 and 10 that Ive owned. On the more positive side, the accuracy is excellent, and Ive experienced that with previous versions. In my view, definitely not worth upgrading unless theres other applications or improvements that suit ones needs, of which Im unaware.

Greater than one weekmy daughter is doing great with this product. She even started to dictate a story in addition to her homework. It really is amazing how quickly you can train dragon to your voice.

> 3 dayI never write reveiws. After reading the strong negatives regarding the registration process, I had to write to about my experience. VERY FAST AND EASY WITH AN EDU EMAIL ACCOUNT. The serial number was IMMEDIATELY emailed. It took me less than 5 mins. to register and recieve my serial number. It took another 5 mins. to download it and I am off an running. I plan on using it for my dissertation. Will post an update.
