> 3 daymy daughter is doing great with this product. She even started to dictate a story in addition to her homework. It really is amazing how quickly you can train dragon to your voice.

> 3 dayI purchased Dragon 11 from Staples, not the student edition but the full price package. I have the box in hand, the disk, and the Quick Reference Card, and I paid extra for the blue tooth device. I have spent 2 to 3 hours trying to activate my product and appearantly I dont have a valid serial number. I cant even find one single place on the box or on the disk that says Serial Number ...... or S/N Thanks to Nuance for wasting my time and money. Your customer service and ease of set up is a total disappointment. I sure hope a competitor enters the market soon and takes your business away. You dont deserve any financial success you have reaped over the years, if this is the way you treat customers.

> 3 daySo I just bought this item 22FEB2012 and tried to go to the website to register as a student to get my serial number to start the software but the website provided is down. I am glad that Nuance offers a student discount but if you dont want a bunch of bad reviews on your product and services you may want to get your registration website up and running. I immediately went to the main Nuance homepage to chat but that individual is just a sales rep and then only gave me a non-tollfree number to call...classic! Sadly they close at 6pm weekdays. Update 1: Website is up and running but very slowly. I was able to register and the serial number showed up really quick once I provided my .edu email address. I owned a previous version of this software so I will send out a second update once I have finished the papers that are due on Monday. Nuance reps FYA: Since I know you read these reviews, you should think about giving a trial period to register the product of say 10 days and then disable the software. This would help minimize these types of posts.

> 3 dayI have owned Dragon NaturallySpeaking since version 3, and have always appreciated the excellent improvements. My experience with Version 11 is that it is a significant downgrade from the quality I have been used to. The software crashes frequently and I have to exit and reload to continue. Ive tried reinstalling, but that does not help. In addition, simple things are quite annoying like if I place my cursor at the beginning of a sentence, it does not capitalize automatically. It also does not add spaces automatically. Dragon NaturallySpeaking never used to do this with the previous Version 9 and 10 that Ive owned. On the more positive side, the accuracy is excellent, and Ive experienced that with previous versions. In my view, definitely not worth upgrading unless theres other applications or improvements that suit ones needs, of which Im unaware.

> 3 dayThis program has made writing papers for grad school so much better! I absolutely love not having to type every word. So far, its been accurate and very easy to use. I havent tried it with anything other than Microsoft Word, but so far love having it.

Greater than one weekI tend to talk fast and mumble a bit and run my words together. Once, I got the hang of talking to Dragon, he and I seem to be on the same page most of the time. When, I am tired, well lets just say, Ive learned a few new words. As long as you speak clearly and at an even tone this program is great for typing in word and e-mail programs. Sucks in Excel, and takes over the +/- keys on my wireless numeric keypad. Corrections seem to take time, though some are relatively quick. I think that its me. There seem to be less mistakes every day.

> 3 dayOkay, I have to admit I was a little bit miffed when I first got the product and realized I had to go through a bunch of hoops to verify my student identity. However, I made one quick call to the company and they took care of this problem immediately by e-mailing me a unlock code. After this it was a simple matter of installing the program, dictating a few sample paragraphs, and then going to work. I was amazed at the accuracy of the program after only a few minutes of use. It had no problem picking out and spelling words such as cardiomyopathy, left atrial myxoma, and other very specific medical terms. As part of the installation process, it does review your documents on your computer and this may explain its ability to recognize all the specific medical terms that I use frequently. However, I have found that it even recognizes medical terms that I know I have not used previously. I have never used prior versions of Dragon so I cannot comment on the difference between prior versions. All I can say is that this program has worked excellent for me so far.

> 3 dayUnfortunately, all posted links to the education validation on the Nuance site are broken. What IS this mysterious process anyway? Are part-time graduate students eligible for the Premium 11 Student version? Thanks.
