I purchased a product from them that I know is good, but I have been having lots of difficulty with their support department trying to verify information for us in order for a proper serial number to be sent to us. This is absolutely ridiculous how many days and nights we are waiting for our product to be handled by them. They dont give us alternatives on what to do and how they will kindly take care of us and resolve this issue. I will never purchase any of their future products again. Very poor service!!! Every company that ever handled anything for us purchased online has always been very successful in helping us resolve the issue.

I really like this product. It works well. Sometimes it types things I am not sure where they are coming from but for the most part this types exactly what I say and does it quite fast as well. I do recommend this to others, but it does need to be trained to your way of speaking and your accent or dialect to know what word you want typed.

the verification process is absolutely ridiculous. Never before have I had such problems with getting a product I have purchased to run- it has literally been MONTHS of trying. Talking to a live person is not an option- it all goes through chat or email....very frustrating.

While Ive recently gone back to school through an online college program! I found that my typing skills were not able to keep up with my thought processes. This program is allowed me to save substantial amount of time typing reports and as responding to classmates in classroom forums. Since using Dragon my reports and other materials for class has improved while reducing the need to recheck for missing or lost words that my typing skills could not keep up with my thoughts.

Updated: 5/25 Probably the worst software experience I have ever had. Waited three days to get a serial number. Had to order a new headset as the one included is GARBAGE (ill fitting and cumbersome-it kept sliding off my head.) Spent the next 10 days trying to make this work for me to no avail. It is amazingly frustrating, a printed user guide would have been very helpful (the 108 page manual is available if you hunt through their website, but you cant read it and keep the screen clear to practice.)Could not open anything other than straight Windows programs like WORD, Outlook and Excel. for some reason, my wireless connection key kept being clicked off when I was using it! It could not open my Yahoo email inbox! I do alot of legal research for school, it could not begin to find its way through court citations in either search or dictation mode. I use Open Office for work and that was almost funny...however,neither my professors or boss would find the quality of work I was able to turn out using Dragon even slightly amusing. I ordered this as I have a hand nerve issue and thought it would be very helpful. Major headaches and wasted hours are not helpful. I would have been better off spending $100 on additional wrist braces and painkillers to ease my discomfort. Am going to try to get a refund.

I bought the Dragon NaturallySpeaking software about a month ago. I was very hesitant because I was concerned about the accuracy but I needed something because I have severe arthritis. But to my surprise it was amazing right out of the box. It only took a few minutes to set up and verify that I was a student. I have used this for writing several technical papers and it has done awesome picking up on chemical compound names and engineering terms. I have been very amazed with this product and I am using it to write this review and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Bought this as a graduation gift for my son who has dyslexia and is entering College. Since day one he has put it to great use and has helped him produce wonderful research papers that are/were required from him. Thank you

This is a fantastic program. It can open doors, not only to the disabled, but to people from all walks of life. We can think much faster than we can write, or type. This program helps to corral, and then organize our thoughts. Im using it for school right now, but who knows? I might write a book later. I never saw myself as an author, but this program makes it possible. Now that I am able to write it, it will be up to the population to see if they are interested in what I have to say. Every child, and student, should have this program.

I was hoping for a painless process getting my serial no. based on one or two favorable student reviews. You have to go to there site and download some form of school ID. before you can get serial no.. This sounds simple but can be complicated because you have to wait for Nuance to get back to you which they say could take up to 30 days. I read that and said to myself no way, I will send this back Pronto. I finally got through to someone on the phone after there meeting at 10 a.m. (no one answers the phone from 9-10 ) who gave me little hope except to try live chat, which was my solution. They viewed a form of school ID I downloaded them ( not a student ID ) and was approved and had my serial no. emailed to my school edu. address in less than 10 minutes. There approval process to me seemed antiquated at best and painstakingly frustrating at least. Now if I can get Amazon to give me my training Video that appears to be part of promo purchase I will be ecstatic. I then loaded Dragon with version 11.5 sweeeeeet! Included headset did not work well at all. I have a pair of Turtle Beach gaming headphones ( x11 ) that worked real well with Dragon which kind of surprised me because they did not work very well with Microsoft Voice Recognition ( I guess that is why I purchased Dragon, Duh ). Well I hope that helps some of you who truly do want to slay the typing Dragon with ground breaking speeds.

I lost the use of my right arm/hand half way thru a collage semester. I purchased DNS to dictate and control my computer so that I would not have to drop my courses and continue school. Activating the Academic version is quick and easy with a valid approved institution e-mail address. The software is a bit taxing on computer resources. I recommend installing on a new Windows 7 PC with 4 gig or Ram to benefit from all the features. Although, It preforms well on one of my XP computers with only 1.5 gig of RAM. DNS adapts quickly to your voice and constantly learns to improve accuracy, the hardest part is learning how to talk what you want to type.
