> 3 dayWorks as advertised, aesthetics are good, easy to add to the mesh. The only problem with this is that it doesnt have back-wiring, its the push-in wiring type that doesnt securely hold the wires. Residential grade.

> 3 dayUnlike some cheaper Z-wave devices, this one stays solidly on the network. It has enough switching capacity to control my espresso machine, and the integrated button makes it easy to control locally when necessary. I like that the button doubles as an indicator to show when the outlet is energized. Do note that only one outlet is controlled - the other outlet is on all the time just like a regular outlet. One thing that would have been awesome is the ability to select whether both outlets are controlled or if only one outlet is controlled. There are times where I would have loved to plug two devices in to be controlled without having to clutter things with a power strip.

> 3 dayThere is one feature I miss in this outlet: it does not measure the power consumption, which I was hopping to get for my automations. Besides this, not complains.

> 3 dayI have purchased this particular outlet twice, and both have failed after 2-3 years. At a lower price point I could justify buying them as disposable but not at $50...

> 3 dayI own so I like to hard wire as many of my Z-Wave devices as I can. These plugs are easy to install in most electrical boxes, they take up more room than a normal outlet but still fit easily. If you have a shallow box they may not fit, but I haven’t tried that. The switch works great and no issues with the regular outlet.

Greater than one weekBought this because in the Q&As and in reviews customers said the face plate could be swapped with almond color. However this out does not have an interchangeable faceplate… it’s white ONLY. Mea culpa… don’t trust reviewer with product facts. :) otherwise it installed quickly and paired easily.

Greater than one weekGE Enbrighten products are solid and reliable. I enjoy the durability and solid performance. They do what they should and what they claim. GE has both Zigbee and Z-wave versions. I have both and can recommend both. Whichever platform you prefer, these provide great service. I marked the easy installation as a 4 simply because you do need to understand something about home wiring. The install is easy and straightforward, provided you are familiar and comfortable working with voltages that can be dangerous if not respected. The product is great, install and connection straightforward. GE is my first go to for such devices.

> 3 dayI have had nothing but trouble with these Jasco/GE Switches and Receptacles. The biggest issue is that I just had 3 receptacles fail in under a year of use. The outlets work, but the Z-wave repeater/emitter has stopped working. Also had one Decora style toggle switch fail last year. Along with failures, I have one switch that worked fine, then all of a sudden the top of the switch if off, and the bottom is on. A big disappointment is with the Smartthings hub where EVERY device had its LED light feature switched all at once. I used to have them all to read LED ON when off, now they are all LED ON when on. Z-wave has been around for quite a few years and issues should have been resolved with high rate of failures.

Greater than one weekI have been very happy with this outlet for the past 2 years. I use it with Smartthings to control holiday decorations plugged into the wall. As such it gets little use most if the time but even with this the item failed on me today. As others have stated, it just starts clicking and will not stay in the on position. I will buy a replacement from another manufactuer.

> 3 daySomewhat difficult to follow the included instructions. The diagrams are accurate but the wording is vague. Make sure to get the add-on switch if you are doing it as a three way and read it carefully so that you don’t connect wrong and ruin the switch.
