For the price this is amazing product. I bought this primarily to watch movies and sports during day time in family room. With a light curtain I can watch anything like watching a huge TV. Best part is Epson support. Ive been using epson projector since 2010 (HC 8350). Epson support answer your questions within hours if not in minutes. For ever epson user here.

The screen from the beginning would not focus on all 4 corners. I have this ceiling mounted, and I suspect the lens is not designed to be mounted from the ceiling. If the text at the top of the screen was in focus, the text at the bottom would be slightly out of focus. This happened with 2 projectors (sent the first one back for a replacement). The replacement lasted 10 months. I will report back after I go through the warranty process with Epson. If that goes well, I might adjust my review positively. Customer service is important.

I almost didn’t pick up this projector due to repeated concerns about focus uniformity. I’ve had no issue whatsoever with this. I think it may be because I didn’t require a ton of vertical or horizontal lens shift though I did use it. This picture is bright enough to be serviceable in a room with three windows during the day and when the lights go out it’s truly special. The contrast is truly phenomenal. Does it have OLED blacks? No. But I’ve got a 100” image and it’s a more beautiful picture than any modern tv I have in my home. I’d be shocked if you could find anything better for a similar use case for $1500 refurbished (what I paid.) If you don’t want to pay $3000 this is a great projector for you.

Great projector. Works very well with an awesome picture. Mounting holes are non-standard so was a little difficult finding a mount that would work with it. Everything else with it is great.

Came with Epson Certified Refurbished sticker on the top. Sadly, focus uniformity was poor and it wasnt any brighter than my 2200-lumens HT1075 with 3K hours on the bulb. I will say it was very quiet.

Ive used a number of projectors over the years, getting a new one every 2-3 years as the upgrades come out. This is my first 4k projector, but keep in mind this is not true 4k but uses pixel shifting to create a more detailed image. The true 4k projectors start upwards of $5k and get closer to $10k when you factor in HDR, etc. This bridges the gap between 1080p and 4k projectors, and is a great option for multipurpose rooms (e.g. room with windows, family room, etc). I am using this projector in my finished third floor with windows. I have a 50 HDTV on the wall for the kids, and installed a recessed 120 Elite tab tensioned screen with full tower 5.2.2 Atmos speaker setup for everything else (movies). I bought the Epson ceiling mount, which fits perfectly and is very solid. This PJ is big and heavy, so do NOT cheap out on the mount! Its got lens shift and keystone adjustments, so if you are not dead on center or your screen isnt 100% straight, dont worry. The throw distance can be found on projector central, which has a great calculator when you are trying to figure out what size screen you can get and where to mount the projector. I ran a Ruipro 4k HDMI 2.2 cable to ensure I was getting all features available (not all HDMI cables will transmit 4k, Dolby Atmos, HDR, etc). The picture is very bright, and it has 4 setting profiles to select from. To be honest, all the images looked washed out to me, and the blacks are not remotely close to black - more dark gray. I adjusted the picture quite a bit, added a lot of color and increased contrast. Its much better, but still has terrible blacks and poor contrast. I would honestly recommend the 3800 over this due to the increase in contrast if you are very, very serious about image quality. The PJ is relatively quiet except on high settings, where it gets quite loud. Due to the fact that its mounted directly above my head, there is no way I will ever put it on that setting. Mine is on medium, which is still louder than Id like but tolerable. It comes on quickly and shuts down quickly, which is nice (my BenQ took forever). This is my first LCD PJ, as Ive always had BenQ DLP PJs. BenQ was much better with color and black levels, but this LCD is far brighter and has no rainbow effect. Epson bulbs are much cheaper to replace than BenQ DLP. Pros/cons to each. This PJ is good for the money, and a great option for a bright room. HDR looks good, but keep in mind this will never look as good as a 4k HDR TV. Its simply impossible to get the colors and contrast of a TV set, though you can obviously get a much bigger image with the PJ. My family loves watching movies, and watching them in full Dolby Atmos surround is incredible. This is a good, affordable option in the projector world. Hopefully within the next few years, true 4K projectors become affordable.

I got this Epson Home Cinema Projector to place in another room that Im working on turning into a mini home theater in my house. I own another Epson projector and Ive been very pleased with their quality, so I expected just the same out of this one. The most amazing part about this projector is the absolutely excellent video quality. It transmits using 4K PRO-UHD technology, which I really dont understand a lot about. But it basically helps to improve the resolution, color, and image processing. Its got a 3-chip that puts out just beautiful and vibrant color while using pixel-shifting. The brightness is also exceptional and seems to be just perfect for any viewing experience. Its got a multitude of connections including: 2 HDMI ports, USB, and a 3.5 mm audio out. I wish it came with an optical audio output, but I guess thats starting to be replaced by HDMI anyway. The projection can output all the way up to a 150 display, but I dont think I even have space for that in the room Im using. Im currently using a 120 projection with the projector set back about 12 feet, which is just perfect for what I need. I mounted mine to the ceiling using one of the mounting kits that you can buy, so thats something youll want to consider most likely. You can also set it up on a tabletop, but Id imagine thats probably not the best scenario for most people. You might also consider buying a projector screen for placing on the wall to get the absolute best display. So prospective buyers should consider factoring those additional costs into their budget on top of the price of the projector. Finally, Ive been able to connect all of my peripheral devices without any issues including: Amazon Fire Stick, laptop, PS4, blu-ray dvd player, and DirecTV receiver. Overall Im extremely satisfied and impressed with the quality and performance of this Epson Home Cinema Projector. The amazing video quality and incorporated technology make this an amazing projector that can be had at a reasonable price when you consider that a lot of 4K projectors run around $5,000 or more.

Sorry amazons, I am not really a person into the details of the projector for I my main purpose is to watch movies and sports. One good feature that I like is the Bluetooth. I have an old Denon Amplifier and did not want to run a cable by cutting thru the dry wall and all that pain so I purchased this Bluetooth receive and connected in a seconds. I tested the audio for a lag and personally I did not see any lag. The BT receiver is about 20ft from the projector and see no breaks in voice for now. My main purpose of writing the review is that I searched for BT devices that support the Eposn 3800 aptX Bluetooth technology and found no answers only to find this device and had it shipped overnight for a small fee. Dang it connected and proved compatible. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078J3GTRK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ive had 4 or 5 projectors over the years and this one is by a wide margin the king. Even other epsons this is brighter and clearer and just projects better. The bluetooth sound works flawlessly and it even includes an onboard speaker, though its not enough for large or loud locations. The lens has all manner of adjustments for being able to get the correct flat picture on screen even when its throwing said picture from a weird or close angle. I hope that the bulb lasts longer than my last one which got about half the rated life span.
