> 3 dayThese products are a great addition to a bug-out bag or to clip onto a necklace or pack for camping. The whistle is nice & slim to carry in a pocket, and isnt too high-pitched. The firestarter is user-friendly and the bottle opener & ruler are great bonuses! You definitely get your moneys worth!

> 3 dayI love the security that this provides!!! Knowing that I have this in my Go Bag really brings me a lot of relief. I showed my son how to use this and it worked immediately. He practiced and was able to easily get a spark! A big plus was the whistle it came with which was an unexpected surprise!!!! Great for alerting of danger:) all in all I highly recommend this to anyone who spends time outdoors or who is preparing for an emergency situation!

> 3 dayMy son is new into Boy Scouts so I got it for his trips. It strikes easy and whistle is small but loud!! We have to find something to put the two pieces of the fire starter on you can get a good strike with the string that it came with. I’m glad we opened it before a trip. It came with a free gift too. He’s stoked!!

> 3 dayThis is a perfect compact fire starter. Product also comes with a whistle. Buyer understand when buying a strike set you must remove the coating on the stick to get a proper spark. I love I can just hook this to my pack and go.

> 3 dayHuuggeee sparks come out of this one . I’ve had other fire starters that make small sparks. The stick itself is also big so it will last a while. Don’t really use the whistle but maybe someday it’ll come in handy because it’s really loud. The other fire starters I’ve used are much harder to make fires with and I use them at work all day. > 3 dayI’m no expert when it comes to these things so there was a little learning curve as far as how to hold it and get the right Tinder. Once done, we got a good little fire going. Really fun to learn with.

> 3 dayI got this for my son. At the beginning we had a hard time getting it to work. Problem was that the rod comes coated for protection. Only after removing the black paint it will work. To remove it give it a few strikes with the metal tool included, to peal the paint off and reveal the rod. Once the rod is ready, it makes big long lasting sparks that are easy to use and start a fire. Great kit!
