This work’s amazing you get a spark every time. We like the multi tools added of a ruler and bottle opener. It’s very easy to use, we would absolutely purchase one again!!

Huuggeee sparks come out of this one . I’ve had other fire starters that make small sparks. The stick itself is also big so it will last a while. Don’t really use the whistle but maybe someday it’ll come in handy because it’s really loud. The other fire starters I’ve used are much harder to make fires with and I use them at work all day. My son is new into Boy Scouts so I got it for his trips. It strikes easy and whistle is small but loud!! We have to find something to put the two pieces of the fire starter on you can get a good strike with the string that it came with. I’m glad we opened it before a trip. It came with a free gift too. He’s stoked!!

I bought this for my grandson as a Christmas present then decided it might not be safe since he doesnt think like he should before doing things. I decided to keep it for myself. Its easy to hold and I had no problem at all starting a fire, if I can do it anybody can do it! I might give it to a friend instead???

I am always out in the woods and I cannot tell how long I have wanted something, like this, to start camp fires. I am always searching for a lighter or matches in my gear, but don’t have to look for these, they’re on my keychain!! This item works perfectly fine and started a camp fire for me on the third strike!!

The ferro rod and striker produced good consistent sparks after I worked off the layer of paint. The sparks should be able to start a campfire even in significantly wet conditions. It does take some effort to create the sparks which is typical for a ferro rod. On the striker is a concave surface which has teeth and can saw some tinder to use. The whistle is loud and high frequency which would be helpful in locating someone in important circumstances. These tools are an easy carry due because they are light weight and have a sturdy build.
