15-04-2025I bought this for my grandson as a Christmas present then decided it might not be safe since he doesnt think like he should before doing things. I decided to keep it for myself. Its easy to hold and I had no problem at all starting a fire, if I can do it anybody can do it! I might give it to a friend instead???

Greater than one weekAdded this to my hiking backpack, never know when it will come in handy. Fire stick works great, you just need to scrape the ruler against it and it makes sparks

Greater than one weekSo surprised how easy this is to use. When you go hiking and need to light a fire you will always prepared. Look forward to sharing this with my family. There was a surprise gift of a sock to keep everything organized!

Greater than one weekStarter came in right on time for a trip I have. I tried a few times. Sparks fly with this one. I once had a cheaper one. And I guess you get what you pay for. It took two strikes and it had a fire in no time.

Greater than one weekI am so excited to have this. We just moved across the USA to an area where this would be useful when camping or in an emergency. I think I’ll need to get more so we can all have one to carry around.

> 3 dayMy teenager loves the outdoors... hes always hiking, exploring, and spending time in the woods. He also loves building fires... this made a great gift just because. It works perfectly, is well made, and came as expected! Highly recommend!

Greater than one weekThe whistle is loud and sounds like a train. The sparks made are super big when I first tested it I had several plumes of smoke going up from just the sparks works wonderfully. I keep it in my car in case of the worst but had fun testing/playing with it when i got it

> 3 dayThe ferro rod and striker produced good consistent sparks after I worked off the layer of paint. The sparks should be able to start a campfire even in significantly wet conditions. It does take some effort to create the sparks which is typical for a ferro rod. On the striker is a concave surface which has teeth and can saw some tinder to use. The whistle is loud and high frequency which would be helpful in locating someone in important circumstances. These tools are an easy carry due because they are light weight and have a sturdy build.

> 3 dayWe used this on a camping trip we went on this past weekend and it worked exactly as it should! We started a fire on our first try! After watching survival reality shows for years I always wanted to try and start a fire with one of these so it was fun finally feeling like a true outdoorsman!
