Ive been using Fluke 87s at work for many years, but after extensive research, decided this one would work for my needs at home. (Remodeling the house and auto work on occasion)

Great for around the house electrical projects, ie outlets and light switches, where its helpful to check for proper voltage etc.

Fluke remains the best handheld DVM. This unit is no exception. More expensive but worth it, solid and super accurate.

Looking at an 87 for home use and decided to try this model. Serves all my needs, light weight, easy to use. Non contact voltage detection is a great plus for this device.

my husband checked with the electrical contractors at his chemical company before selecting a volt meter for our daughter. this was the only one recommended by all of them, and had the most positive comments. not cheap, we expect it to last a lifetime.

This meter is confortable in my hand and is easy to read. The meter reading are right on with my old meter, witch is all I can ask for.

I bought this and had it shipped to Afghanistan back in 2010 when i was in the Military. Mine still looks like its brand new 6 years later. I love the volt detect, saves time when doing a quick check for power. I love the back-light. Awesome and reliable product, built like a tank!

The title says it all, and i use this meter every day for work. It does most the things a handheld meter is expected to do. I love the volt alert, although at times it may be a bit sensitive if your looking for a specific wire with power on it. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a simple meter or doesnt know what they want.

Its what you expect from Fluke, great quality meter. The three stars is because it does not come with a case, which is ridiculous, and you have to buy the magnetic hanging strap separately for $40. Or buy the exact same strap for $15 from True Energy on amazon.

Dont buy this if you really dont understand what your doing-you would be better off with a Craftsman.
