10-04-2025Gerber products always seem to fit small compared to other companies of the same size, but it works well for me as I have a small little girl. She is 19 lbs at 14 months. We are starting to potty train a little early (because shes ready) and was having difficulty finding some undies that would fit. The 18 mo size says 24-28lbs and, like I said, my daughter is 19lbs and they fit almost perfect. They will probably fit fine for several more pounds, but I doubt a 28lber would be comfortable in them. As far as how they work. I was holding my daughter on my hip...she only had the training pants on. I felt my hip get a little warm, I quick lifted her up and her undies were wet, but my shirt was completely dry! So they did the trick! She realized she was going and my clothes stayed dry!

> 3 dayThis is mostly a review in terms of fit-- I keep seeing all these reviews about these running large, and that is probably true if your child is slim to average. However, I have what I refer to as a viking toddler. She just turned 2 and is about 3 feet tall and ~30 lbs. She is not one of the toddlers who has slimmed out and has very chunky thighs and bottom. A lot of 2T and 3T leggings are skin tight on her, and 2T leggings are halfway down her rear end. If this describes your child, these training pants will probably fit perfectly. I have size these in size 3T and the leg holes fit her snuggly and there is enough fabric to cover her entire ample rear end. They basically fit perfectly. These are great for small accidents. If I remind her frequently, my daughter goes to the toilet and mostly remains dry throughout the day, but occasionally has little sprinkle type accidents. These would not contain a full pee, since they are basically normal cotton underwear but with a padded crotch.

> 3 dayDiapers have irritated my daughter since forever, including pull ups - these are amazing - they’re so soft, perfect fit, soak up a whole full bladder, wash easy (machine or by hand). Just ordered another bundle of 4! Going to save a lot of money using these daily instead of diapers!

12-04-2025I bought these and a pack of Lamaze training pants in size 18 months at the same time. The Gerbers work well for their purpose, but the Lamaze are a little more forgiving for accidents, softer to the touch, and slightly bigger in the waist. I like the Gerbers well enough for their purpose, but I wouldn’t expect too much of them for holding liquids. They are not diapers, they are much closer to standard underwear, and really aren’t meant to absorb much. But they are handy for potty training toddlers with tiny waists as long as you understand the training pants purpose and have realistic expectations for these slightly thicker underwear.

Greater than one weekThis brand of training underwear fit my daughter perfectly (we bought the 2T size). She is 2 y/o, but has thicker thighs and bottom and they fit her just right. We bought these to start potty training and these are also the underwear we take to her daycare. They have a little more padding, which can absorb an accident a little better. But they are kind of bulky when comparing them to the fruit of the loom brand (the other brand we bought for training underwear). Overall, I am satisfied with this product and plan on purchasing more.

HeyDay!
> 3 dayMy daughter started potty training early and her daycare suggested we start switching her to underwear. She is 33 tall and only 23 lbs and currently in 18 months clothes so I knew finding underwear would be an issue. I was excited to find these and read some pretty decent reviews. However, when they arrived they looked pretty big. I washed/dried them hoping it would help them shrink (and they did a little but not enough). I purchased 2 packs but returned 1 (the one I hadnt opened) because they are just too big. The actual 2T underwear work better for her (surprisingly) even though they are also too big.

> 3 dayThe 18Month size fit perfectly on my skinny super active 20 month toddler girl. She wears 2T bottoms with diaper, but without diaper they kind of fall off. So I sized down to 18M for underwear.its soft and she can pull up/down by herself.I ordered 4 more since we just started skipping diapers altogether throughout day.

> 3 dayThese are very comfortable, soft, and stretchy. Also easy to clean after accidents. I ordered a 3T because that’s the size my 2y10m daughter has been wearing in other brands and they fit but are a tad loose, but not horribly. I would call them “true to size”. She’s 38” tall and weighs 34lbs. I say this because Gerber’s size guides on Amazon are absolutely horrible. For toddler sizes we really need to just be able to go by height and weight. It’s very difficult to get measurements on a toddler, and just going by age is idiotic. That’s the only reason I knocked off a star. Otherwise these are great.

Greater than one weekI have a tiny girl that decided she wanted panties so I was on the hunt for some training pants that would fit. These did fit better than the 2T size but really are maybe an inch smaller all around. They did stay up if she was running around with no pants where the 2T would slip down after a few minutes. They were loose enough that she could get then up and down again on her own. They arent the most absorbent but they worked fine for us as a transition from diapers to big girl panties. I think the best part about the thick middle is that it looked really uncomfortable when wet (almost squishy) so she had an immediate lesson if she had a accident. We didnt do pull-ups as a training aide, we use them for sleep but we went straight from diapers to these and dealt with the accidents. She trained rather quickly and we are grateful.

> 3 dayThese training pants are fantastic for potty training! We did the cold turkey, no-more-diapers method, and these training pants were great for that. They are NOT waterproof, but do provide a lot more protection than normal underwear. They will still leak through (unless its a tiny accident), but the damage will not be as bad; you may even avoid the puddle on the ground and just have wet clothes to deal with (much easier). The material that these are made out of is very soft and comfortable. (I also ordered some Green Sprouts brand, which were so scratchy I sent them back immediately.) These training pants do seem to be higher waisted than most other girls undies (not sure about boys), but not to the point that they show above my daughters pants or anything. If shes wearing leggings or thin pants, you can see the seams that hold the extra absorbent panel to the middle of the pants (so she has little seam lines across her buns), but I dont think it looks terrible. The absorbent panel is not thick enough to make the training pants appear bulky or diaper-like. In terms of fit, the 3T training pants fit my daughter well when she was in 3T pants, so I think theyre true to size. I highly recommend! Also available in plain white (which my daughter actually prefers - go figure!)
