After being fed up with leaking trash bags from Glad and Hefty, I went to Amazon to find something better. Then I stumbled across the Hippo Sak. Ive been using these trash bags for a couple of years now and couldnt imagine using a different trash bag! Its extremely rare for these bags to leak and if they do, its very minimal. Im a customer for life!

i Love these with the subscribe & save discount, they cost less than the sale or even coupon price of the top of the line Hefty or Glad. They are just as tough & absolutely leak proof. i dont have to chase sown coupons or sales or even leave the house. We are never out of bags. i also love the shape. They are narrow & tall but have a bottom that is heat sealed in the center. So, when filled they fill out round like most kitchen bags. But fit better in varied size cans.. The tall shape, long handles, and NO odor or scent; make these great for household uses other than garbage. i use them to store bedding & they are sturdy enough to tote loads of laundry too. Keep some in the car to protect items against rain or to replace the flimsy clothing bags Dept. stores provide. i LOVE all of the Hippo products. I am disabled and take my meals in bed; so my bedroom garbage is more like kitchen & bath garbage. I use Hippo small saks to for my meal trash then toss them into one of these kitchen bags along with juice containers and washcloths and i never worry about leaks. LOVE THEM> ♿Lisa

Bar none, these trash bags are simply exquisite. If you have a trash can with specially-fitted bags, those *might* be better for those specific cans, but these ones are absolutely show-stopping in every other case. The bottom of the bag is very heavily reinforced, to the point where I havent even once been worried about it busting even when holding 30+ pounds of garbage, and the handles are quite comfortable (especially compared to standard drawstring bags). Absolute recommendation, these are the bags you want.

We prefer the handle tie bags and can no longer find them. Glad that Amazon still carries them.

I have been using drawstring garbage bags for as long as I can remember (20 or 30 years), usually the type that are supposed to stretch and be resistant to punctures. Well, lately, the drawstring bags seem to be flimsier, so I decided to give the Hippo Sak handle trash bags a try. Weve used about 8 of these so far, and I have been very pleased with them overall. They feel thick and have not ripped or had any leaks (in spite of visible liquid in the bottom of one of them). The handles are both easy to tie and to untie to add something else into the bag, and the bags stay in place in the garbage can instead of falling inside. As long as the price of these stays comparable to the drawstring bags and they stay this quality, I plan to buy them for the foreseeable future.

Solid trash bag with no scent. I prefer handles to drawstrings. All around great product.

These bags are really great! I cant believe that Ive wasted so much money on the Glad brand for as long as I can remember - the ones that have 2 handles just like these. Except, they are more expensive and not as strong. Plus, they werent always available. We go through a lot of trash around here. Plus, were finishing some big projects and went through a ton of trash bags. They hold a lot and stretch nicely without splitting. I hate those ones that have little tabs at the top and youre supposed to tie those? Its so much easier with the handle ones. Thank you!

I have known about the Hippo bags for groceries, they are awesome! I especially like how I can reuse the bags for cat litter waste and the bags never have holes or tears in them. I was so excited to see that the Hippo bags were available for kitchen size containers. Let me tell you... The liners open up completely. They do not hurt my hands to get the top of the bag wrapped onto the can. They tie easily. The plastic is THICK and the famous Hippo strip at the bottom works just as well at the little grocery bag strip. Im convinced that if I spend the money and buy a top notch bag in the first place, I will not need to double and triple bag my nasty kitchen garbage. Im an apartment dweller, and I have to transport my household garbage from my garage to the actual dumpster. I feel comfortable putting these filled bags in my car without leaks and tearing. THANK YOU Hippo! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Another feature: The dispenser box is sturdy. It doesnt look like it will fall apart on me after removing 3 bags like the Hefty containers do. LOL For the rest of the roll, you end up chasing them around the area below the sink! The hippo ones are awesome!
