Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room Tower Fan-Black, HYF290B

Amazon makes purchasing this item for our senior clients extremely easy. Delivers to their doo, but we pick up the bill.

This fan works so well we bought multiple for our home its not too bulky and doesnt take up too much space. The speed levels are nice cause it can be very mellow to a stronger air flow. It also is pretty quiet as far as fans go. Would recommend!

This is a very good fan, the blowing power is amazing keeps it nice and cool in the room. My only complaint is when I ordered the black unit it said it came with a mini tower table fan when I got my package only one box was delivered, so I called Amazon and Amazon told me “well no that’s part of the description you do not actually get a mini tower fan.” Save yourself $20 and buy the white one It’ll still work the same. Would not even offer to credit the difference. I was told to return and order the white one if I wanted the $20 back. Do better Amazon. :-(

I dont think appliances should ever have blue/green/white/etc. lights on them. Why not red? Red wouldnt keep me awake at night. The blue light on this fan means it joins the air filter and the phone in my bedroom in being covered by a sock or a hat. Kind of silly. Seriously, why not just use red lights? This fan is also very tall, which means that if you are lying on the floor, the air might be too high to reach you. I had to tilt it with a book under the base in order for it to blow low enough for my purposes. The remote doesnt work well at all. This fan is very quiet on the lowest setting, and it has a nice range of settings.

While the fan is running, its great. I love being able to control the speed with finer granularity than just low/med/hi. At its lowest, it provides adequate air movement with low (but still audible) noise. I keep the fan about 15 feet from my pillow. I also love the small footprint. It fits nicely in the corner between two doors in our bedroom. If only I had an outlet in said corner, but thats my fault, not the fans. That said, I hope you never need to turn on or adjust the fan speed in the middle of the night while your significant other is sleeping. 1. When turned on, the fan starts out at the highest speed before settling down to whatever is set. Meaning its LOUD when first turned on. Not great while trying to keep quiet. 2. The buttons on the unit make a very audible CLICK. Not great while trying to keep quiet. 3. The buttons on the remote ALSO make a very audible CLICK. Not great while trying to keep quiet. 4. There is no way to *lower* the fan speed. The buttons only make it faster and then wrap around after hitting the max. Not great while trying to keep quiet. So yeah. Decent fan. Just steer clear if you expect to adjust it in the middle of the night with a light-sleeping partner.

This fan is awesome!!! Quite at night and keep my large bedroom cool.

The first one we ordered had a broken fan motor possibly. It made a loud noise intermittently, but the replacement works great. Quiet and decent air flow on low mode even. We keep it on high as its quiet. It does have a nice white noise mode too where it creates a rumble-like sound. Also shipped quicker than advertised(received next day).

Power is a litle weak. Its nice otherwise.
