If you are replacing a keypad just make sure that you get the hardware address of old keypad before you remove it and program the new panel with the same address when you power the system back on.

Worked perfectly, when I pulled it in.

I needed to program some new sensors and local Honeywell dealers wanted $90 for a new one. This was much less expensive and works as advertised. If you program your own alarm or want to program your own Honeywell Vista, you will need this.

The Honeywell Security 6160 Ademco Alpha Display Keypad was a replacement for an older keypad I had at home. I was concerned it was not going to work with the older system but was pleasantly surprised that it not only worked but it worked without any reprogramming.

Works great! Cannot comment on installation as we hired a handyman to do it! :) Very please with the look. Also like the fact that the chime is louder than the original that came with the house. I now can hear when one of my kids open the doors. Very helpful for security reasons. Also like the large display and the size of the keypad.

I cant complain. It works. Its important to note that this is mainly an interface device between you and the Ademco control panel. It only interprets text and sends text to the receiver unit. So if you need programming instructions, youll need to find it for your particular control panel. I found mine on the internet and Im still working through the programming for it.

Replaced my worn-out 6128 keypad. Easy, understandable directions. Quick DIY project. Be aware 1. larger 6160 requires more wall area but its mounting screws have same spacing as old 6128. 2. draws more power than 6128. This will be a concern when drawing down the backup battery during a power failure.

Installation is easy, just follow the instructions to assign its network address to the main unit. Original unit lasted over 10 years of arming and disarming 1 or 2 times every single day before the membrane buttons started to not work as well. Didnt realize how worn the old one was until installing a brand new one.
