Install and addressing it was a breeze. I have 2-6150 keypads. One is an RF. I changed out the non-RF one at the garage entry door that we use all the time with the 6160. I left the 6150-RF in the master bedroom that really never gets used. But I need it for some wireless sensors. I did some programming on the 6160 and it was a lot easier to see what step your at. 6150 was a pain. The 6160 keypad is a little bigger and so is the LED screen which is nice. Seems a little brighter too. It is a lot quieter then the 6150 that was annoying loud. You can muffle the 6160 if you want by putting some folded up paper towel in front of the speaker on the inside. YouTube is very helpful about that and also programming it. I highly recommend getting this if you have the 6150 keypad. Real nice upgrade.

Purchased to replace Ademco 6128. Easy install, took less than 5 mins. This is larger than the 6128 but the screw holes are in the same location for both units. The volume on this unit is lower than the 6128 but it works just the same.

Everything is easy about this product. I have two annoyances with it. The major annoyance is the sluggishness when pressing the keys. You have to press each long and hard for it to register that you pressed it. When you try to hurry up and push the code in, it is easy for it to not register all the numbers you pressed. Another minor annoyance is that this one only beeps, it doesn’t have voice.

This keypad arrived on time, and was easy to install. Programming was easy enough if you read the instructions thoroughly. I dropped the rating to 4 stars because the door to cover the keypad does not close completely if you push on one side only. I wonder if the door will hold up over time. I think the door should be a bit more sturdy.

Opened up hooked wires up and it didnt work..last one i took off did. Must be yet more garbage.. Also the wire inidicators ( pos and neg etc) are written so small you need a magnifying glass. Why was this done? Well suck on my return honeywell and take it out of person who designed that mini print and thought it was ok. Incompetance

The 6160 Deluxe Keypad is easy to install and simple to use. The attractive white console blends with any décor and features a contoured, removable door that conceals illuminated soft-touch keys. The 6160 also features a new larger and brighter 32-character display with easy-to-read plain-English status messages. The oversized function keys are easily accessed even when the keypad door is closed, and can be programmed for fire, burglary, personal emergencies and other operations. Colored self-adhesive labels are included.
