Honeywell WAVE-2 Two Tone Siren

Mounted over a single gang box. Doesnt fully cover the opening, leaving gaps at the sides. Also, it sticks out from the wall by a few inches, making it visually unattractive.

I have profound hearing loss, so I installed this for use as a doorbell. (I ordd a 2nd one — for downstairs.) Note: You must close the cover for the siren to work correctly. (Otherwise, youll just get a squawk.)

Easy to use is an MASSIVE understatement. I feed this off a 9v battery and it would wake the dead - it sure as hell disturbs my neighbors and we dont see our cats for about a day after testing. The battery even fits right in the siren housing. Its almost too simple. Dealing with Chinese products, Ive come to expect issues, such as documentation that is somewhere between Sanskrit and a fortune cookie written by a guy on an acid trip. It has screw-tightened terminals inside - place bare wire end in hole, and tighten - connection made. You supply power and select which tone you want by using that ones terminal (one terminal gives you a steady howl, while the other emits a skin-crawling warble.) then connect your door or window or chastitybelt sensor - whatever. Done

Works great and easy to install. And is loud enough but not too loud. And is very compact compared to other brand I looked at. And has two choices for tones!

It’s very loud, however the siren sounds WAY to similar to a home security system siren. If using for a sump pump alarm or other application be aware that distinguishing the difference in alarms when sounding could be confusing.

I used it in my mini van because I installed an aftermarket remote door lock. Im using it for the audible tone. Its mounted inside the car and you can hear it very well outside.

Plenty loud and easy to connect.

I bought two sirens, this one and another brand that I thought would be as equally loud. This Honeywell Wave 2 Ademco siren was the right loudness I was looking for. It is really really LOUD!!! I demonstrated how loud it is for my neighbor she jumped with fright!!! It really scared her! It has that real security sound that would definitely get peoples attention. Ill send that other brand back.
