Greater than one weekConforme à mes attentes. Expédition relativement rapide pour un produit venant des Etats-Unis. Très facile dutilisation. Achat à renouveler lorsque je naurai plus de produit, et à prendre en coloris plus varié encore.

19-04-2025Utterly gorgeous color, couldnt be more happy with this. Like most secondaries, this requires a bit more dye by weight than primaries for full color saturation, but its no biggie and the results are beautiful. Jacquards website has a document which shows full saturation percentages for each color. This dye allows a wide range of color variation for those ombre skeins and pairs fantastically with Jet Black and Purple as tints or coordinating colors.

Greater than one weekExcellent dye, even for beginners. This is the first time I have dyed a piece of knitwear. I followed the instructions on the dye container, and my project came out perfect. Brilliant blue was the color I chose, to dye a wool/angora shawl with red beads I had just completed. The yarn was undyed, (off-white) and I didn’t like how it looked with my skin tone. I read all the reviews and decided to try my luck. I let the shawl soak in clear cold water for about 45 min, since wool needs time for moisture to penetrate the fibers. Dissolved the dye powder in water, making sure it was completely dissolved, then added the shawl to the dye pot, after pressing out most of the water. Handling the shawl very carefully, so as not to felt it. I heated the dye bath to 180F, then added vinegar. I maintained the temperature for about 35 min. stirring the shawl carefully and gently every so often to make sure the dye penetrated everything. Afterwards I dumped the fluid and let the shawl cool down to room temp, then rinsed it until the water ran clear. After that I put the shawl with water into a tub, added a big splash of hair conditioner and let it sit for 30 min, then rinsed the conditioner out. Done. While whet, the color looked darker blue and I was worried I had let the shawl sit in the dye for too long, but as it dried it lightened to a beautiful royal blue. No felting, no shrinking. The red beads didn’t take on any color and add a bit of a color pop. Very happy with the color I achieved. Will definitely buy this brand of dye again if I need to dye something else.

> 3 dayAlthough this did dye my fiber gray, it soaped up and made my fiber feel rough and brittle. My feeling is that the dye was cut with another ingredient.
