I was a little hesitant to purchase the Potette because of the low price. I was concerned about quality and was looking for a catch but thought it was worth a try. Our family is a group of avid beach-goers. Hauling a 2 yr. old through the sand and several blocks away down the boardwalk to a potty is overwhelming and discouraging for our daughter. So, I searched reviews and bought the pink Potette. The first time we used it, I didnt realize I had to snap the legs in to place and as soon as she sat, it collapsed. Whoops! That was purely user error. I fiddled with it and realized my mistake and once I properly set it up it became the best thing Ive ever bought. We just wrapped a beach towel around her for privacy and she was more than happy to poo on the beach. (lol) She used it 3 times total the first day we had it. Each time she was so proud of herself. I ordered a couple packs of the Potette brand liners to try them out. I like them! As others have said, one can very easily use a standard shopping bag and throw in some napkins or cheap feminine pads from the dollar store for absorbency but I am pleased with the Potette liners and will be buying more. The Potette is easy to tote around. Its simply no burden at all. I plan on buying another to keep in our other car. If youre deciding between portable potties, I would encourage you to try the Potette before going on to a more expensive potty. I should mention I have a girl. I did think to myself that if I had a boy, I would prefer the Potette have a urine block on the front. If your boy can stand and aim however and just needs to sit to poo, then this should be a non-issue. It might not be an issue at all anyways. Overall, we are pleased with our new pink potty and highly recommend it.

I was skeptical about this one but, as soon as the UPS man delivered it my 2 ½ year old boy wanted to go on it. I let him go 1 time inside but, told him after that it was an outside only potty. We have used it at least 6 times in 2 days and Im mostly very pleased with it. Setup is very easy (just make sure you hear the click when locking the legs in place) but, the built in deflector is somewhat small. Until he learns to hold it down we are going to have to take off his pants and training pants so his legs sit wide enough that it points down automatically (you Mothers of boys know what Im talking about). Also unlocking/folding the legs was a little hard the first couple of times but, it seams to get easier every time. I looked at a couple different portable potty chairs before deciding on this one. The other 2 options were both bulky and 1 didnt have a deflector and the other sealed so you had to carry the waste home and clean it out. Overall, I am very pleased with this seat.

Not as big as the last one I purchased. Was okay for an emergency stop.

Overall the Potette is a good concept, its great to have your kids own personal potty anywhere. There is definitely room for improvement here and this is what I feel needs improvement: 1. While it is VERY compact, I wouldnt mind it being a bit bigger if it meant having longer legs. Once set up as a stand alone potty, kids WILL have to squat and this can be an issue with some kids. 2. The potty hole is rather large! Which can be a problem because kids already have to squat so it would be nice to make it more comfortable by having room to sit their butts on. Here is what I like about it: 1. VERY compact, it was even more compact than I was expecting. 2. It is designed to be used with a liner, so it is mess free. No need to dump anything from the potty. Just tie the bag and properly dispose. 3. It comes with its own bag to keep it discreet and keeps any germs inside and away. Tips: 1. DONT buy the liners! The liners are literary a small plastic bag with some type of thin padding at the bottom. You might be better off carrying your own plastic baggies and throwing a folded.paper towel in there.

Fit well over toilets and no splashing out ! My girls sit comfortably on it. Fold up small enough to fit in diaper bag. Happy with the purchase!

I hate to knock this thing since it came so highly recommended by bloggers I trust. It is NOT, however, the quality that I expected from the glowing reviews. The material itself seems sturdy, but the design is poor. The legs definitely have a tendency to collapse and fold, both when the seat is standing on its own and when placed on a toilet. It does not grip to any toilet seat Ive placed it on thus far, but slides around. Obviously this is alarming for both myself and my toddler when trying to use this seat. The disposable liners fit over the seat, when they could have easily been designed to clamp underneath without danger of leaks. Having to sit on the liner makes my toddler finicky about using the seat. The shape of the seat itself is also a bit awkward. When using it on a large toilet, it rests so far back on the toilet seat that my toddlers legs are forced to stick straight out in front of him and it is difficult for him to part his legs and angle downward to aim the pee into the potty. There is no raised guard area in the front to catch pee either. I have gotten pee on me every time using the seat. Thankfully, my son has been much more adaptable to using different potties than I anticipated. I bought this seat before leaving the house for the first time after training because I wanted to be extra prepared. However, my son willingly uses any large potty with my assistance, and he uses them much more readily without this rickety seat. Since it is collapsable, I keep this seat in the car with the liners, in case we are at a park or similar place that has no potty nearby. It works in a pinch as long as I hold the legs steady while my son uses it. It is not at all the convenient travel potty I imagined.

Nice for public restrooms or taking the kiddo to friends houses to put over their toilet. But not great for on the go, the legs collapse immediately. It says it supports up to 50lbs. My kiddo is 40…and the bags don’t soak up much urine…

For those parents who have children with small bladders, this bad boy is EVERYTHING! We love it. Very easy to set up. You just take it out the pouch. Put the bag and a pad in the middle. Then just pop it out on both sides, and let your little one go to town. When they finish, take the bag and toss it. And throw the pot in the pouch. Easy, breezy!

This is the BEST THING for potty training!! I wanted a little potty to keep my SUV since we were beginning potty training! This is the best thing ever wished I had something like this with my first two kids!! I bought a bumpkins wet bag and I keep the seat that folds up nicely and takes up little space. I also add the baggies. I also love that I am not having to take him into the public restrooms (with us being in a pandemic). It’s sturdy and I can fit it in my floorboard and add a bag. We have also used it flattened out on a big potty too!

There are so many travel potty seats out there, but I love the fact that this can be used as a stand alone potty. When first potty training this was crucial as some outings just didnt have bathrooms nearby and it was critical to be successful and always have a potty available. Were well established with potty training now, but weve moved states since then and with traveling back home for the holidays this past Thanksgiving/Christmas with 8-9 hour car trips, it made our stops so much quicker and easier when we needed to make a quick potty stop without needing to eat, etc. We just set up the potty with the liner in the van, then buckled back in and we were off again without all the unnecessary time since little ones need to go so much more often. The seat is much bigger for this reason, making it not as convenient to store in the diaper bag and not at all discrete as youre toting your toddler to the bathroom with it under your arm at a store or restaurant. You really dont realize how non-standard toilet seats/shapes are until you go through this stage. When using on a standard toilet it isnt aways a perfect fit, but Ive never had an unstable fit where I was concerned about it not being safe or anything.
