> 3 dayThis is a great training seat for at home and travel. It packs down small and is lightweight so I can fit it in my diaper bag (which is actually a daypack). Much better option than having your child sit on a public toilet seat. I love that my son can open and close it himself (2 yrs old). My favorite part is the splash guard which is a must have for a boy. My only complaint is the bag it comes with is just a thick plastic bag and it barely fits which is frustrating if you are trying to put the toilet seat in the bag while holding onto your toddler in a public restroom. Of course I could always find a better bag so it’s not that big of a deal.

> 3 dayThis product was amazing on our last road trip! We didn’t have to take our kids into any nasty gas station bathrooms or “scary” rest area vault toilets. We set up the potty right outside one of their car doors on the Pavement of rest stops or on side roads in the rural areas, and we used a pop up windshield shade as a privacy screen. Boy age 6 and girl age 4. We now keep it in the car for when we go hiking or biking, all the park restrooms are closed due to Covid. I’ve even carried it in my hiking daypack! The bags are worth the price too

12-04-2025Nice for public restrooms or taking the kiddo to friends houses to put over their toilet. But not great for on the go, the legs collapse immediately. It says it supports up to 50lbs. My kiddo is 40…and the bags don’t soak up much urine…

> 3 dayWe carry this with us in the car whenever we go out. It has a little plastic case that comes with it, but we use that to store the bags, and got a separate (washable) bag to carry the potty in. Its fantastic. Going out to eat and dont want to balance your toddler on the big toilet seats? Bring this along, lay it flat and your toddler is comfortable and protected from germs! On a road trip and dont want to risk a gas station restroom, or your toddler needs to go NOW and youre on a stretch of open road? No problem! You click the potette into the seat position (note that people complain about the seat collapsing, but it wont do that if you just click the legs into their place. You MUST click/lock it in to the upright or flat position, otherwise its not stable), put it in the back of your wagon, or in the back seat on a relatively flat surface, or on the side of the road even, your toddler sits down and pees/poops, you tie up the bag and knot it (please dont litter - just store the bag in the back of your car, or the trunk until you can toss it in the garbage - if you knot the bag, you dont smell it), and boom, you are on your way! My daughter loves it - she prefers going on the potty in the car rather than going into an unfamiliar restroom, and on more than one occasion, its been a lifesaver pulling over by the side of the road for an emergency pit stop. Its all plastic and is easily wiped down by a disinfectant wipe, and takes up little room when stored flat. You can buy refill liners for about 50 cents a bag (I got a 30 pack from Wal-Mart for 40 cents a bag), which some might say is costly, but we only use them when we go out, so 30 should last us a long time. When we ran out of our initial supply that comes with the potty, I did use plastic grocery bags (make sure there are no holes in the bag!) and some left over absorbent pads from my pregnancy kit. You can save money by going this route, but you either have to carry around a bag of womens panty liners/pads and grocery bags, or do it up in advance and then fold them all flat so they are ready to go. That seems like a lot of work to me, so we just buy the pre-made ones from Kalencom. The only negative I can comment on about this potty is that its not ideal as your primary potty seat for potty training. I like that its all plastic for easy clean-up on the go, but we did end up buying a cushioned potty seat for at-home potty training. When your toddler is sitting for a long time on the potty, cushioning is nice, and our daughter found this seat too uncomfortable when sitting for long periods of time. However, now that she is fully potty trained, she could use this seat for everyday use at home just fine. Overall, I highly recommend the Potette and its definitely one of our best purchases for our toddler.

> 3 dayI really hate that I didn’t buy this months ago. This is perfect for a quick walk or nice nature hikes and my daughter, who absolutely hates the potty training experience for some reason has no issues using this. This fits really nicely in your typical backpack or stroller. You can use plastic take-out bags just fine but the Kalencom liners are thin, yet secure so I bought a giant box of those liners, no regrets. Plus, you can secure 3 liners on the potty beforehand to save some time when your little one has to go. Okay so maybe my one issue is having to adjust the potty from flat, to usable, to flat again, which can require some jiggling but it’s not that bad.

> 3 dayAfter my daughter raved about this travel potty chair I bought one and now have two. I have also given them as gifts to new parents. This thing is so handy. No matter how much you encourage your kids or grandkids to go potty before you leave home they inevitably have to go again when you arrive in the parking lot, or just before you need to head home. Have learned my lesson and now keep this potty chair loaded with a clean bag at all times (Grandpa, I have to go NOW). Bags can be a little tricky to get on at first but once you get the hang of it, no sweat (they are made to stay put so you want them installed correctly). I love the little pad in the bottom that absorbs and holds liquids, it works great. We have never had a leak or spill and have used it for years. Dont forget to order extra bags!

Greater than one weekThis little potty is great for travel. We go my oldest sons baseball games alot and sometimes the facilities are a far walk for toddler legs. But when they are close she will use it on the big potty. But the travel bag reminds of a patient belongings bag you get from the hospital wish they would have thought alittle better on bag. My toddler is now fully trained and she can get on the potty seat on her own.

> 3 dayBuy it, you won’t regret it! Having a 2.5 year old who has recently been potty trained and finding a clean safe public bathroom is a nightmare(especially with a girl). Worry no more with this light weight travel potty. It’s literally saved us from TONS of accidents. We take it and have used it everywhere we go. City streets, trains, car rides but most of all playgrounds. When your kid/s has to go they have to go! Good luck running, trying to find a bathroom with your other children and a stroller. Almost impossible. They can’t hold it for long so having this travel potty makes life so convenient. We get stopped often when it’s out and so many people can’t believe how cool it is. It’s my favorite child item for sure! You won’t regret it. We store ours in a light weight draw string bag, with tissues, wipes and tons of plastics bags and we’re good to go!

Greater than one weekI have to say that having this potty in the car and folded up in my diaper bag has prevented so many potential accidents that I have lost track. Love, love this product. I especially like that I can fold it up, stick it the bag and take it anywhere, its very discreet. My child is still afraid of the big toilets even after a month of potty training. So I needed to find a way to bring the potty with us to the store, park, restaurants and road trips. This works great. So far we are only using this product as a stand-alone potty, not on the toilet seat. Like previous reviews, I agree the inserts they sell are way too expensive (thus why I give it a 4 star and not a five). So instead of their bags, I am using up all her old diapers, unfolding them and then inserting them into plastic grocery bags (which I fold over the potty). So far I have had only one spill. I had a hole in the bag and the contents leaked but other than that one time, this systems seems to be working for me. I also carry some travel size disinfectant wipes to wipe the seat down. Quick, easy and the potty is ready to go for the next use. Highly recommend this product!

> 3 dayMy twins were out of diapers by 21 months old, and my youngest twin is on the petite side so having a portable seat was essential for our family. Twins are almost 3, and we were so pleasantly surprised with it we purchased 2. We recently went on a trip in the middle of potty training, so having 1 each in their own backpack was helpful because when they need to go, you have to act fast. And basically my husband and I would divide and conquer. About the product: we have used several types of bags (diaper bags, kids backpacks) and these are so portable, we have never had an issue of not being able to fit. These are very easy to clean. What I love best is the foldable wings. It’s versatile. Fits over any size toilet and if we are somewhere with no immediate bathroom access, just stand the wings down and use as a portable toilet. For the times where I needed to use it as a portable toilet on the floor, I did not utilize the bags or liners. My twin girls just peed, and these times were in parks or wooded areas. The product only came with a few liners and I want to save them for poop needs. But I have read, you can use any plastic bag to substitute. Since I have not used any bag, I can not comment on the how well the seat works with a bag. Now that my twins are almost 3 and can use a toilet without any riser at home and school, we still continue to this product in public settings because it’s more safe and sanitary. I don’t have to put them on the public toilet (with liners), and no need to worry about my smaller twin falling through the toilet.
