I’m not entirely sure how I functioned without KT tape before. This is a wonderful alternative to bulky braces. If you have any adhesive allergy, like me, I highly recommend starting with skin prep, then laying cover roll over the adhesion area, finishing with KT tape. I’m a big believer in preventative practices but when you have an acute injury, this stuff is miraculous. Their website has a thorough list of videos for various tapings that you can adjust for your needs.

My podiatrist recommended this after an ankle sprain. I like that it comes in sheets that are easy to use, with photo instructions depending on what area needs taped. It provides support, and doctor said it can help increase blood flow to the area to promote healing. It adhered well, even when I swam laps in the pool.

Works. Doesnt take the pain away totally, but significantly. Stayed on through 3 lap swims over a 5 or 6 day period. I finally pulled it off. No skin irritation. Will buy again. Even reduced the pain during daily movement / chores.

It is not entirely a pain relief. I don’t understand how it’s pain relief as I didn’t have any change on pain. However it’s a prevented product that avoid sudden pulls etc. also Paid $11.50 less than one month ago. Now $15.50. Nearly 40% increase in a month made me not to order this product anymore!

Ive tried several different kinesiology tapes, here are the results of my head-to-head comparisons... In order of stretchiness: KT Tape Pro: Super stretchy spandex-type material. Dries super fast. Breathes excellently even in multiple layers. KT Tape: High-elastic content cotton. Dries reasonably fast. Adequate breathability in multiple layers. Rocktape H2O: High-elastic content cotton. Dries reasonably fast. Adequate breathability in multiple layers. Rocktape: Moderate-elastic content cotton. Takes the longest to dry but thats still fast. Not very breathable, can feel slightly stifling in multiple layers. In order of stickiness: Rocktape H2O: Can be repositioned, and will stick just as well after repositioning. Sticks to tape well. Can be uncomfortable to remove. Rocktape: Can be repositioned, but loses some stickiness each time. Edges tend to peel up. Doesnt stick to tape very well. Okay removal. KT Tape Pro: Can be repositioned, but wont stick for more than a day if you do. Sticks to tape well. Easily removed. KT Tape: Cannot be repositioned, edges tend to peel. Sticks to tape adequately well. Seems more painful to remove than others. In order of longevity: Rocktape H2O: 3+ days. Stays put until you take it off. KT Tape Pro: 2-4 days. Once you get it stuck on, it stays. Less peeling than Rocktape. Rocktape: 2-4 days. Edges tend to peel up on day 2, so youve got to trim it down. KT Tape: 1 day. Edges and entire parts of strips peel up almost immediately. In order of support: Rocktape: Very stable support. Multiple layers offer similar support to a lightly structured brace. Useful for areas where you need a lot of stability like knees and ankles. Rocktape H2O: Stable support. Multiple layers offer similar support to a soft compression brace. Useful for areas where you need both stretch and support, better adhesion and superior stretch offers excellent massage for sore muscles. KT Tape: Moderately stable support. Multiple layers offer similar support to a compression sleeve. KT Tape Pro: Light to moderate support. Multiple layers offer similar support to a soft compression sleeve. Useful for areas where you need flexibility first, particularly well-suited to wrists and fingers.

My daughter needs this tape daily as she has subluxing shoulders, but her skin is constantly irritated, marked up, and itchy when she removes it. I want to rate it high as it does it’s job, but note the problem with removal.

I have ribs that continuously slip out of place. This tape is what finally gave me relief enough to sleep. Unfortunately, I only had it on overnight and it became super itchy. When I took it off, I had welts for hours and the outside borders eventually blistered. It did work to give me relief! I was so excited to think of it helping, but it might not be the best for those with sensitive skin.
