18-04-2025I tried the KT Tape a while back for minor issues and really couldnt tell the difference. I threw my back out a month ago, babied it, forgot I had the KT Tape. Back got better very slowly, then finally was all better...until I tried to drag a 50 pound mat. Oops. Back went out and I was back to square one, which meant I could barely walk and sitting and laying down werent too comfy either. I remembered the KT Tape this time, put it on the wrong way, and it still made an instant difference in the pain. I didnt expect it to work as I was walking out of the bathroom right after applying it! Im still using a heating pad and a little ice, but hoping I dont have a 4 week recovery period again, and that I can sit at my desk and work. Thank you KT Tape!

> 3 dayKT Tape is amazing. I have a hip injury from running that Ive had contrast MRI, physical therapy and pain reliving drugs. Nothing worked expect KT Tape. I can run 8 miles as long as Im wearing it with no pain.

> 3 dayMy daughter is a competitive dancer and injured her shoulder, so before every dance competition, we use this KT tape, which stays on very well, even when you sweat

> 3 dayI bought this because my physical therapist uses it. I have joint issues due to arthritis and carpal tunnel and this is so easy to apply to wrists and at the elbow joint when doing lots of arm and wrist work. It’s a must when sewing, canning, gardening, yard work, cake making and decorating, and bread baking. My hands get a work-out and this works so well to add extra support. My husband uses at work on his knee, and also his wrists and elbows when doing yard work. It’s a great way to minimize even prevent joint and muscle pain.

> 3 dayI was skeptical but my plantar fasciitis has really been limiting my activity recently. I figured its worth a shot. I dont usually have much pain in the morning when I wake up but it progressively worsens throughout the day. I waited until it started to get to a point where I would start to slow down before I applied the tape. I watched the instructional video on their website for plantar fasciitis and almost instantly I felt some sort of relief. The kind of relief you feel as soon as you put a heating pad on a sore muscle. Its not what I was expecting but Ill take it. I have been going on about my day and have been cleaning the house with only mild pain. Usually I would be pretty tempted to stop because of the pain. It hasnt completely ridden me of pain but it does work. When Im not on my feet I can feel that same kind of relief that I felt when I first put it on. Only time will tell to see how well it hold up. I applied shortly after taking a shower to ensure my skin was as clean as it could be before application. I am hoping to get the minimum of 4 days of use out on one application. Otherwise it wont be cost effective to continuously use this but will defiantly always use it when I know Im going to be pretty active. The case makes it convenient to throw in a suitcase or backpack and make sure you have it with you and not worry about it getting damaged. Should I not get the expected usage period out of an application I will update my review. But for day one - Im glad I tried it. **UPDATE** 12/24/15 About 30 hours after applying the tape the edges started to peel significantly. I snipped the peeled back edges as close to my skin as I could to help further eliminate any catching or rolling of the ends further removing the tape. At 48 hours after application the tape on my right foot was peeling off so significantly that it couldnt be salvaged and needed to be removed. At 72 hours the left foot followed suit and needed to be removed. 3 days total, with only about 30 hours of solid, performance with no issues. I wore socks at night like instructed on the website. I was not particularly active, just going about my daily activities. I spend about 6 hours a day in my care commuting for work as well; so I imagine this isnt too rough on the tape. I showered before application and again shortly before the 30 hour mark. Tape was only subjected to 1 shower before it started to deteriorate in performance. I padded the tape dry, being careful not to run and cause the edges to lift. I will be downgrading my rating from 4 to 3 stars. This tape advertises 4-7 days of wear. I got 3, and even that is pushing it. On the plus side, it does help. It would be ideal for short term applications for days or sporting events where you know you will need it. Do not expect a week long application. I just dont see how thats possible. Bottom line: Buy it for the times when you will need it for a sporting event or strenuous activity as a one time use solution. It does work, but doesnt last nearly as long as the manufacturer claims. This is the KT pro tape which is supposed to last 4-7 days. They make another tape that is supposed to last 1-3 days and is a little cheaper. I may give that a go once I use up this roll since Im getting less than 2 days of use out of an application.

> 3 dayI have a connective tissue disorder (EDS) that causes my joints to be hyper mobile. My knees, regardless of how much PT I do to strengthen, still dislocate, as do my elbows and many smaller joints like fingers. During the hotter months, my joints get worse, and the colder months make my joints stiffer and therefore less painful. I had a friend recommend these to me after they had a sports injury. Best. Idea. Ever. I slap these babies on and around my knees and look out world, I’m held together with tape, but I’m coming through!! I do have to be careful removing the tape, just because I bruise easily and can tear my skin very easily, but the adhesion is spectacular! These bad boys aren’t moving anywhere! I also love that they are discreet, so I can still wear clothes without a bulky and uncomfortable knee brace. They help alleviate some pain, but they’re not perfect. It would be lovely if they made some with some pain relieving gel inside. I’m still hyper mobile with them on, but I can still go on jogs in the summer like I would in the winter. If you have a connective tissue disorder or have bad joints that need some support, definitely give these a go!

> 3 dayOrdered with skepticism. Would it work? Is it hard to use? Would it stay in place? Will it look stupid? I often have a recurring pulled Achilles tendon injury from 30 years ago as a teen playing sports and if youre familiar, keeping my ankle at a right angle with the tendon extended and stable is key. But this time, I had some bones in my foot out of place after mowing outside in the wrong shoes. The bones popped back into place later that day once I soaked it, socked it and put on proper shoes, but my foot was still super sore - then on top of that, I forgot and I plopped down on the sofa with my feet under me to watch a good movie. Ugh! A ganglion cyst formed - like immediately. My poor foot... I was kind of tired of the old-school ace bandages - I have a drawer full. Since Amazon delivers CRAZY FAST, I decided to get the tape. LOVE IT! It works. Is it easy to use (KT has a YouTube video). It stays in place (a little too well, I soak it off in the shower). It looked SUPER COOL! Im a Steelers fan, so I got black and yellow - I looked like a cool high-paid Olympian hurt on the gridiron! (hee hee) Watch the KT YouTube video, start with clean, dry skin and press good and gentle for a good seal. If you want to use moisturizer, apply a small amount and let set for 15-20 minutes first. Wear with socks for a bit to help the seal and maybe while sleeping. If the tape lifts, its a wrap, it will just keep lifting and like tape, fibers on it render it useless. But theres plenty in each pack. I will say that the tape irritated my shin skin terribly (itchy, red, swollen skin) maybe moisturizer after cleaning and drying skin could have helped. I cant do bandage adhesive on my upper chest, face or bend points inside elbows or behind my knees and now - front of shins. :)

Greater than one weekI purchased this for support during recovery from an issue with patellar tendons and ligaments. I purchased the first couple of rolls from a local big-box discount store for $20 each. Then I began purchasing it on Amazon for $15-16. All my purchases were for KT Pro, not the original KT tape, so I cant make a comparison as some other reviewers have. The tape delivers what it promises. Its elasticity makes it a good choice for a variety of applications because the tension of the tape can be varied as it is applied, something that is harder to do with a standard athletic wrap. In terms of its waterproof capability, it does last through showers, but will last longer if care is taken not to directly blast it with the shower stream. The online video was very helpful in learning how to properly apply the tape for my particular use. Typically, I get several days of use from an application using the tape I purchased from Amazon. The tape I purchased locally was more prone to peeling off though; Im hypothesizing that perhaps it had been on the shelf in the store for some time or had been exposed to abnormal heat during shipment to the store. So I think theres probably some benefit from purchasing from a high-volume supplier such as Amazon so the adhesive is fresh. As with any tape, its important to clean oils and dirt from the area youre taping. I used alcohol swab pads for this, but hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball would work just as well. If you clean it well before application, the tape adheres much better. Also, if you cut the strips in half, remember to round off the square corners that result from cutting; this keeps the tape from peeling up on the corners. All in all, a very good product.
