Greater than one weekI work at a warehouse and these tape have been helping me a lot with rotator cuff pain. When not wearing them, the difference is noticeable. They can stay on my skin for 3-4 days even with constant shower. Only thing is, like other reviews mentioned, these tape cause rashes and irritation on skin. Changing them every 2 days seems to be helping with the rashes but not with itchiness while wearing them.

> 3 dayIve used KT Tape off and on for a chronic ankle problem I got from running. When it flared up Id use some tape on it which would provide some relief. The only issue I had with KT Tapes original product was that since I used it on my ankle and foot, the ends of the tape would tend to come loose when you put you shoes and socks on and took them off. And once the ends come loose, its not long before the whole piece of tape wont stay. KT Tape advertises that it will stay on and can be worn for up to 5 days and occasionally I would get that much use out of it, but many times it would only last a day or two. Enter KT Tape Pro. I read a very positive review of it from someone I follow on Twitter and since I already knew the tape worked for me as far as providing relief from my injury, I decided to try a roll of their pro product. Im happy to say it works as advertised. If you apply it as directed (make sure to burnish it down good), it stays on. For several days. If youre wearing it on your feet, you still need to take some care putting on and taking off socks, but as long as you do that, you can wear it for a few days before it needs to be removed. If youve used KT Tapes original product, you will notice KT Tape Pro doesnt have the pre-cut split down the center of each piece. IMO, this is a change for the better. In many applications of the tape, you dont want to split it and its much easier to lay it down as a single piece without that pre-cut split. And if you do need that, its simple enough to do it yourself with a pair of scissors. All in all, a definite improvement on the original KT Tape. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayIm left handed and Ive torn my left rotator twice, along with my bicep. To get added support, I bought the KT tape. My thoughts were that with Kerri Walsh being a sponsor, it must be good stuff and Im not overjoyed with it. I had a hard time with this and wasted 5 of the 20 strips trying to get it to stick. To place it for rotator support, its very difficult to place yourself and the tape has a tendency to slingshot back when trying to apply it. It sticks to itself great but it didnt stick well to my skin. Because I paid $15 for the roll, Ill use what I have left, as best I can but I wont rebuy this brand. ** UPDATE 10-08-2017 ** KT immediately contacted me after my review was published and as you can see from their response, offered tips and tricks. Additionally, they offered to replace the roll at no charge. I gladly took them up on this offer and they shipped the replacement roll, free of charge, immediately. The tips and tricks did help but I still have trouble getting this on myself (because of my injury location), but its no fault of KT. My suggestion to you is that if you have a rotator cuff injury that youre trying to support, have someone else put the tape on for you. The instructions inside the package will also give you a picture of how to apply it correctly for that particular injury location. ** Update 2 *** It will help you out tremendously if you buy some alcohol prep pads, which are very inexpensive. Ive found that by wiping down the area with a prep pad and letting it dry, before I apply the KT tape, makes a huge difference. The tape seems to go on better and adhere to the skin better, in addition to easier removal when youre read to take it off. ** Update 3 ** Ive updated my review to a 5 star rating. I dont know if KT has improved the adhesive on their product or if the big difference was made by me learning to apply it correctly. Whatever the situation, this stuff REALLY sticks. Before I apply it, I just pour some alcohol on a paper towel and wipe down the area thoroughly, before letting it dry or wiping it down with another paper towel. Theres no danger of this stuff coming off and Id suggest when you remove it, that you do so in the shower. If you pull it too quickly - like a band-aid, youre gonna pull skin. In my opinion, the precut strips are the way to go and heres a tip: When you start to put them on, peel the backing back only about one inch. This will allow you to get it started without it flopping back and sticking it on itself or on your hands and from there, just slowly remove the backing as you move along the area that youre applying it too. Once Ive started it, I just hold the backing tape with my thumb and index finger and Im moving it along my arm and shoulder. When you get the technique down, its easy to apply yourself (unless youre putting it on your back). KT Tape has been a tremendous help to me. Ive reordered three times and will continue to do so in the future.

> 3 dayI have been using KT tape over the past year to remedy different injuries on my foot and shoulder. Overall, I really like the benefits that KT tape has, but I dont necessarily agree with some of the more bold claims of total pain relief. KT tape is good at sticking to your skin and coaching your body and joints on how to move. This helps your body recover, but wont provide immediate pain relief, and will only cause pain to stop if you work on strengthening your muscles and joints for the future. What KT tape does best is prevent your body from making your injuries any worse. Ive used KT tape for my shoulder and foot. On my shoulder I had my roommate apply the tape after watching a YouTube video. This helped coach my shoulder and arm move in a way that wouldnt cause me more pain, but did not completely solve the source of the problem. With my foot, I am currently dealing with sesamoiditis/turf toe. The KT tape really helps my foot move in a way that wont cause me more pain so I dont irritate the injury. The main idea is that KT tape will help your body from further irritating your injuries, but wont solve major injuries without you putting in some work to recover. In terms of adhesion, the tape sticks fairly well. On areas that dont move much or rub against other surfaces the tape will stick to you for 2-4 days before peeling off on the edges. For areas like your feet, the tape will stick for less time. Often Ive only had 6 hours of wear on my feet, but if you are careful, you can get up to 2 days. Call me crazy, but it seems that the green color lasts longer than the dark blue color of the same variety. Ive been able to have the green tape adhere for days while the dark blue will only adhere for hours. KT tape will never stick over arm or leg hair. I guess this also would be true for chest and back hair as well. KT tape recommends shaving the area you need to adhere. I have noticed, even with the lightest of hair, the KT tape will come off within the hour if you try to put it over any hair. I have showered with KT tape many times. As long as you dont move the KT tape while it is wet or cover it with soap the KT tape will dry within 30-60 minutes and adhere just as strong. Sometimes Ive noticed that after a hot shower the KT tape feels like it has shrunk a tiny bit and feels tighter, but oddly this almost feels better for my joints. In terms of feel, the tape is not very noticeable on your body unless you accidentally stick it to hair, or start to sweat where you have the KT tape. The KT tape fabric feels like the average workout shirt material, soft to touch and slightly moisture wicking. Overall I like the idea of KT tape, it helps coach my body to move in a certain way to prevent further irritation of my injury. This ends up helping me feel better over time when I put in the effort to recover and heal while wearing KT tape.

Greater than one weekSo I bought a bunch of this stuff after I had people recommend it to me. I seen that doctors sometimes used it, so I got some. I was told I had plantar fasciitis for 2 years until an MRI said that instead both the bones at my foot joint were dead. When I thought it was PF, I was doing the wraps they said to do with KT tape and the only positive I got from it was the fact it helped to hold my foot into place. I guess that might be all it’s suppose to do or maybe the fact I didn’t have PF was the reason it never provided me with much help or relief. It’s hard to say. A girl at work sweared by the stuff. I’m giving it 4 stars only because I can’t really say that it was terrible since I was using it for something I never had, but even with my dead bones, it did hold everything in place more than compression socks and it was much less hassle free in comparison to fully wrapping my foot. This stuff is expensive though. My only advice… Don’t stock up on it like I did without knowing if it’s going to be great or not. LOL

> 3 dayIve always had hot spots on the pad of my feet just before my arches due to my sweaty feet with the smallest amount of friction. Ive tried every cream, gel and powder available and just about every running sock on the market to minimize friction. I usually have problems going beyond 6 miles due to the burning pain and was fearing whether I could go the distance in my upcoming half marathon. I attended the Chevron Houston Marathon Expo and saw the KT Tape booth where there was a long line of people waiting to be taped by KT personnel. Being the Guinea pig that I am and having tried everything else on the market,I said what the heck and hopped in line too. After describing my issues, she taped each foot with one full strip longways from just under my toes to the back of my heel. She then cut a strip in half and put both short ways across the pad of my foot so that the entire pad was covered by strips. Well, I walked about 500 feet before feeling the tape starting to peel on the ends. Another expo participant shared that the oils and lotions on my feet were the likely cause of the peeling and that alcohol helps. So, I went back to the KT booth and sure enough she sprayed an alcohol solution and applied fresh tape. This time it lasted through the rest of the day and through my half marathon the following day. No pain, no burning, no friction and no peeling of the tape!!! I did another half marathon last Sunday. I wiped my feet with alcohol first and applied the tape exactly as it had been applied by KT....again, worked perfectly!!!! This stuff is amazing. I went on a 2 mile run this morning, applied alcohol first as usual. This time however, I only applied half of a strip across the pad of each foot. Worked like a charm. Gonna try using this same method for longer runs. In short, the tape is very effective even in the moistest areas but the key is to apply alcohol before applying the tape to remove excess oil.
