Kwikset Halifax, Door Handle Lever Passage Door for Hall and Closet with Microban, Square Rose in Matte Black

When doing a renovation there are so many choices to consider, all the way down to door handles. We were going for a brushed nickel look throughout, and based on reviews here, reddit research, and the Kwikset name, bought 5 regular handles and 2 locking handles and couldnt be more pleased. They look great and have an incredibly solid feel and latch to them. We were so happy that when we upgraded our front door, we also bought Kwikset with the matching internal Halifax handles to match.

Remodeling a condo and these handles worked perfectly

I bought these same door handles in the past when we remodeled our downstairs and though I liked the look, they felt a little cheap and sagged a little on one side. Well we decided to rent out our house so while updating the rest of the door levers upstairs I just wanted them all to match. These were cheap so I bought a bunch more. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that they are now much more weighty, with a great hand feel and best of all- no sagging. Wish I would have known sooner. I’ll be buying them for my next house for sure.

Great handle. I’ve tried the $100+ Emtek ones (which I wanted) and the cheaper generic brand ones on here that look the same (mechanically they’re not) and ended with with this. For $35ish. It’s near Emtek’s quality and way superior to the cheap handles on here. The cheap ones feel the same, but when you go to open the door from the back side, it doesn’t actually start opening the latch for about 1/3 the turn, which makes it feel cheap and poorly made. They do look just as good tho. I’m not a fan of how the screws are visible when there are cheaper handles with a plate that hides them, but they aren’t so bad and the ones with the plate to hide are a bit of a hassle to remove if you ever need.

I got one set at local Home Depot and I wanted to buy this option as well but it went up in price so I turned to Amazon. Look and feel is the same as the ones from Home Depot however the packaging is completely different and this on came covers in oil/ grease while the one from Home Depot didn’t. It was easy to install and looks nice.
