Good quality, easy swap out. Replaced old brass door handles. Nice upgrade.

The install is easy but the latch does not catch . Can simply push it , wind could push door . Not worth 50 bucks

This is Kwikset Halifax but not the same as the similar looking Kwikset Halifax from Home Depot. They both look quite similar on the exterior. However, the latch does not have sufficient movement to engage the locking hole properly. See picture. The one on top is the one I got from Hime Depot. The one on the bottom is the one from Amazon. They are different model numbers. The mechanism is not made the same. You can see how much less area is available on the Amazon one to engage. It works, but hold just on the outer 20% or so of the latch. As a customer, I see Kwikset Halifax privacy lock in Home Depot. It works great. I love it. I need a second one and I also see Kwikset Halifax privacy lock on Amazon. I think, and so would you, that the two products are the same because they looks the same externally. But they are not. Amazon needs to sell these products with model number CLEARLY displayed to avoid such confusion. I have no idea how this product has such high review rating with such a fundamental design flaw.

Impossible to install so it isnt crooked. I have tried to install three of these, and each one looks straight until you tighten the screws and they all are at a wonky angle when finished. So frustrating. It didnt help that the doors didnt have standard size holes - apparently they didnt have a hole saw blade in the 1970s and they used a jig saw so every opening has to be drilled again so these knobs even fit in the hole. Im about ready to send all of the knobs back and get round ones that cant be crooked.

I’m obsessed!! I got the Halifax ones and they are beautiful, sleek, super modern and they feel SO sturdy! They make our doors feel expensive. We want to eventually get new doors and black hinges, but we are SO glad we decided to go ahead and get these door hardware! They are also super easy to install. I installed them so fast. When my husband realized I was installing them, I was pretty much done. Lol!

Our kwikset handle started to get stuck and we got to the point where the door wouldn’t open from one side anymore. I bought this as a replacement and it’s been a much better handle than the more expensive one we had. I definitely recommend this handle

my seven year old decided to lock the door from the inside and close it from the outside. for some reason the privacy unlock is not working at all so you’re completely stuck without being able to enter the bathroom… we have tried multiple Allen keys and other long, thin sticks to try to undo the privacy lock, but it is completely unworkable. not sure what to do

The door handle was made poorly. The handle faces downwards because the lock was made incorrectly.
